Coming next month for an offsite conference, alone. Staying on I Drive, but hoping to get over to the World at least twice (won't have a car and the cab fare is going to be $$$ - otherwise I'd be there every night!), but it won't be until probably after 6pm each evening. Since EPCOT is always open til 9, I'll probably go there one night and then the Friday, MK is open until 10. I have never been solo before. Of course I know the things that I like to do, but I think I might feel a little funny.

Go enjoy it and have fun. Everyone else will be so involved with their vacations that they probably won't even notice your alone. And if they do, they are probably thinking "I wish I had the guts to be on my own like her!" ;)

One tip I stumbled on during my solo trip...an easy way to start a conversation is if you wear a t-shirt from your college, favorite sports team, or something like that. I'm shy, so I have a hard time just talking to people, but when I wore a t-shirt from my alma mater it opened up a conversation with more than one person.

Have fun!

One of the great things about going solo at WDW is the Single Rider Line at many of the attractions at the WDW parks. You get to bypass the long queues and every one in line is also riding solo. Most are friendly and willing to chat. Ask the CM, if you don't see a Single Rider Line sign. On some rides, they allow the single riders to use the fast past line :)

You might consider renting a car via Priceline. I went for a week in December and made a bid for $10 a day for a compact via Priceline and won Hertz. [I have an annual pass, so I didn't have to pay the $14 parking fee at the WDW parks.]

Renting a car might be cheaper than cab fare. . .check it out.

Enjoy just going on rides and eating where you want. No need to explain yourself. Use the single rider lines as much as possible. . .not sure if a ride has a single rider line? Just ask the CM line monitor. . .they are very helpful. I am not shy and talk to everyone so I am the one that might strike up a conversation about your sporting team tee shirt or alma mater tee. . .that is just who I am. . .
