suggestions, please!!

Hi all! This is my first post on the resorts board. We are cruising with DCL (our first) in June 2006. We will arrive a few days early and want to stay on property. We have visited DW lots including the past three summers so DCL is the main part of this trip. However, we have never stayed on property and I am looking for suggestions for where to stay. We would like a moderate or value with great pool area, places to eat and maybe near DTD. We will have our own car! Anyway, i just wanted suggestions from the experts :earsgirl on where you might stay. Our dks will be 9 and 12. Thanks so much!!

We stayed at POR last June with our son who was 9 at the time. We loved it! The main pool was fun and we also liked the quiet pools. We took the boat to DTD, but it's also close to drive. We used disney transportation a bit, but often took our own car. It was a perfect trip. Stayed in Magnolia Terrace.

Last spring we stayed at POFQ. Liked it, but we liked POR better overall. Just a matter of personal preference. Everything is closer together at POFQ, wich is what many people like about it, but we liked the more spacious feeling of POR. We don't mind a little walk. They have a fun pool with a dragon slide.
