Went on our first family vacation ever with only DH, DS6, and myself for DS Spring Break in March. :cool1: Had a great time and so much fun, got so much info from these boards. Ya'll are so helpful! Well, we weren't even back yet when we started talking about when we could go back:lmao: ...so it's this August before DS school starts...(no Free Dining for us :guilty: ) but we are doing the DDP again.

Now, I need some help on suggestions for a second visit keeping in mind these parameters:

1. We don't have park hoppers this time, b/c we have the water parks & more, and we plan on spending a lot of time at BB and possibly one theme park per day. (So not too many EPCOT suggestions please, we can't go there every night.)

2. Resort suggestions and DTD suggestions would be highly appreciated, b/c that was a parameter from last time (last trip I narrowed the field of oppty for restaurants by saying we would not eat at another resort than our own (AKL) or DTD, and we may not go to a theme park everyday, b/c this time we are going to relax a bit more.

3. We will go to P&PP, so what to do on that day specifically?

So, FYI, here is what we did before:
Boma, dinner on arrival night, which we really enjoyed
H&V (Fantasmic), 4:10 ADR which we also enjoyed
Crystal Palace, lunch, thumbs up
Teppanyaki, dinner, big thumbs up
CRT, lunch, again, thumbs up, the experience was awesome, especially for a first timer b/c it's the Castle! You gotta do it. But this time, DS says he doesn't care about princesses (go figure;) , it was all about the castle before) and he is interested in seeing Mickey and Chip and Dale. Oh, my DS loves meat. Huge meat eater. Could live on the Atkins diet if I let him.

This trip we are going for 7 days! So, please Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your suggestions please?

Where are you staying? You should make at least one ADR at your resort. If it's AKL again, do Jiko.

If DS loves meat - get over to 'Ohana at the Poly. They walk around with those big ol' skewers full of meat! He'll love it.

At the Epcot resorts (not the park), try ESPN, Spoodles at Boardwalk, Cape May buffet at Beach Club, and - if $$ is no object - Shula's for steak.

At Grand Floridian, I'd say Narcoossee's.

DTD has Ragland Road (we've never been but have ADRs for August, and I'm excited to try it) which seems to have a lot of meaty entrees.

My boys don't like princesses either-- go figure.
They really enjoyed LTT character interaction. They came around so often! I don't think Mickey was there, but it may be a rotation  but definitely Chip n Dale, also Goofy and Minnie. I thought the food was awful, JMHO, but the boys thought it was fine and there was plenty of meat :goodvibes . The character interaction and pics were worth the price of the meal.
Kona is my fave, esp. if you are looking for a non-park TS. The food is so good and the servers are very nice.
