Suggestions or Thoughts on VIP Tour?

My family is planning to do the VIP tour this fall. Any thoughts, suggestions, or tour guide recommendations for making a magical day for 2 children ages 5 and 9? Total 4 adults and 2 children in our group.

Schedule it to end at fireworks time so they can drop you off in the VIP area.

Start inside a park so you are not wasting tour time on initial transportation. Even better: plan a big meal at an in-park restaurant and have the tour guide meet you outside the restaurant right afterward to start the tour so that you are not wasting tour time eating.

While we haven't done a tour, I would think this would be important unless you're not counting the cost. Several times I've seen tour guides sitting at counter service restaurants, sitting with their party and answering all kinds of questions. If I were to pay for a guide, I wouldn't want to pay them to sit with me for an hour while my family eats lunch.

SUCH a good tip!

Our guide, Jonathan Herd, arranged for us to be at both the MK and Epcot fireworks. What an amazing end to our week! As an aside, he‘s a great guide.

Depending on where you are staying - tour guides can pick you up at your hotel and drive you straight to the park. I know 2 VIP Tour guides that are fantastic and get requested all the time. I can PM you their names if you are interested.

Is there somewhere that explains how this pricing works? I’ve seen one part of the Disney site where I understood it to be a flat cost over x amount of hours (plus gratuity), but then read somewhere about per person? Thanks!

Yes it’s a per hour rate and you must book a minimum of 7 hours. Up to 10 people per guide. Rates are higher during holidays and peak times.

We had Homer and he was amazing. Would absolutely do it again.

We did a VIP tour last fall. We had a reservation for Oga’s and did regret wasting time there. I would recommend not stopping to eat. Just grab snacks along the way. The guide will have water and snacks too at a certain point in the day. We always offered to buy our guide snacks/drinks.

We had the most wonderful guide ever. His name is Raevon. You can request guides, so if you hear about someone who is recommended don’t hesitate to request.

We covered three parks in seven hours and hit all the attractions we wanted, some multiple times. We skipped EP since our focus there was FWF.

Before the tour I cringed at thinking of spending that money, but we found it to be well worth it.
