Suggestions on which category to book?

Can you suggest pros/cons of particular decks/ categories?

I understand the obvious differences- balcony/no balcony, window, no window, room size, one or two bathrooms.. but beyond this..

for example- is a category 10 or 11 room noisy?
I am also paying to bring my mom along to help us with the kids, so I'm getting a separate room for her and my toddler.. so i'm trying to understand what I'll be booking if I go with a lower category room, which may be internal (or whatever its called when there are no windows)
