Hi Experts!

I'm leaving Thursday with my mom (girls trip) and would love suggestions for your favorite yummy food at the following restuarants where we have PS:

Rose & Crown
Kona Cafe
Flying Fish
Brown Derby
Portobella Yacht Club

Any advice and "not to be missed" suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'll be sure to report back!

Thanks!
Renee

First suggestion: Take me! I'm a girl! ;)

2nd: Whatever you have at the Kona Cafe is pretty much guaranteed to be delicious. Haven't had a bad meal there yet and tried many different things. If you're into coffee, get their pressed pot!

Rose & Crown

Not eaten here but as I'm from the UK I can say that all UK food is GREAT :teeth:

Kona Cafe

I've eaten here for dinner once but I don't remember much of what we had apart from the smoothies which were fantastic. Also save room for dessert we didn't and we regretted it - you can see the pastry chef in action and it's fun to watch. If you go for breakfast have the Tonga Toast it's awesome

Flying Fish

Ate here in December and just had an entree of the potato wrapped snapper it was delicious and so flavoursome. A couple of friends had the steak and they said it was one of the best they'd had on WDW property.

Brown Derby

OK I know they're 2 cliches but the Cobb salad is good to share as an appetizer & the grapefruit cake is sharp, sweet and moist a real must IMHO. Also the rack of lamb was very good.

Portobella Yacht Club

Including the Martinis here everything is good ;) I like to order a flatbread whilst perusing the menu. The ceasar salad is good. All the pasta dishes sounded wonderful and I've had a couple which tasted good too.

I really like your choice in restaurants - I hope you enjoy them :)

If you go to the Brown Derby at lunch, you probably wont need a PS....I suggest the Cobb salad with shrimp....

Rose and Crown - the stickey toffee pudding is to die for, my mouth is watering right now thinking about. I was a complete idiot and forgot to get an order to go last week. I will definately be getting an order or 2 in August.

Brown Derby - any dessert is good, the menu changes a lot there.

Desserts are what I remember most about a meal. :)

Rose and Crown: Fish and Chips (no contest). OK- the prime rib there is good also.

Flying Fish: another vote for the potato encrusted red snapper with the red wine reduction. Great. And don't miss the Banana Napoleon. Super Great.

Thank you all so much!!!

I'll report back next week, at least 10 lbs heavier, I'm sure;)

Renee

I'm also a girl. Hollywood Brown Derby - Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake. Both to die for.

Hope you and your mum have a great time, I did with mine!
