thinking Big River Brewery (I think that is what its called) or ESPN. This is the type of food we are seeking however I am not thrilled about ESPN Zone (ate there a few years back)

any input on the Big River Brewery

I remember enjoying Big River. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it was good. DH is a beer conisseur (sp?), so he loved it there. Sitting outside on the boardwalk would also be a lot of fun. I didn't care for ESPN at all...its a little more entertaining for kids though with the video games at the booths.

BRG - good for a beer and a burger, and that's about it.

We ate at Big River once and will never go again. It wasn't very crowded, but it was SOOO loud in there (and I'm a teacher, so my loud threshold is large :lmao:) They had everyone who was there crammed into the same section and there was NO space between the tables. My DH and I are both tall and we had no space for our legs because the chairs behind us were butted up against us. Something else that irked me (which isn't really a big deal,) but when I have a good burger I like to have some fries with it, but they don't have french fries!!!

The burgers were good, though, so if you're a tiny person that won't be squished, you like super loud noise, and you hate french fries, you should totally go :rotfl:

so where would you go then? we would like american fare and yes, def a beer!

In March, we had our second fabulous meal at the Flying Fish. We also enjoy ESPN. Each different from the other; each a good time.

If you are looking for a really, really good meal than go to Flying Fish. It is a bit upscale and pricy but the food it AMAZING!!!

Big River Grill is not the greatest, I think the food as ESPN was a little better.

If you are looking for typical American comfort foods such as hamburgers, wings and such, then don't be alarmed with Big River or ESPN. Both of these places are like your typical sports bar or brew ha restaurant; there's just nothing that makes them a "wow" experience. It don't make them bad, just know this going in to them.
