Suggestions for TS at Epcot

So we will be at Disney from 8/23-9/4 next year and I've narrowed down most of the restaurants we will dine at. But I'm having trouble picking one for Epcot. We have only done one sit down at Epcot ever and it was at R&C and we weren't thrilled with it. There will be 11 of us, 6 adults and kids 17, 14, 10, 8 & 7 and we will not be on the dining plan, but cost is not an issue. So suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated of your go to TS in Epcot.

To give you an idea of what we like, the other places we will be dining are: Ohana, Y&Y, Rainforest Cafe, Homecoming, BOG, Boma, Whispering Canyon, Narcoosee's, LTT and Flying Fish.

Via Napoli is our favorite in Epcot, or you could walk over to YC and eat at the Yachtsman

Another vote for Via Napoli here we love it. We have also eaten at Monsieur Paul and Chefs de France, we preferred Monsieur Paul, they gave us a window table overlooking the water, and the food was wonderful as well as the service.

We like Teppan Edo, not sure if I spelled that right. But I can’t remember how many to a hibatchi table. I also think for character dining garden grill is totally underrated. It’s a great experience.

Our family basically has the same dining roster as yours, and we love San Angel Inn in the Mexico Pavilion. It has been a long time reviled restaurant, however it appears to have had a makeover in the past few years and is delicious!! It used to be really bad. Its very dark, but in my opinion it provides a good break from the parks. The carne esada beef is amazing!!

We enjoy going around the world show case, starting with Canada, and then cooling off by eating there.


Another great option is the Cape May Cafe at the BC, a quick walk from the world show case. Its frankly probably a better option for children, and has a lot of great kids options!

If cost is not an issue, we loved our meal at Monsier Paul last month. Chef de France is a good second choice. Slightly outside EPCOT is Il Mulino at the Swan, our second time there and really enjoyed it. Much better Italian than at the Italy Pavilion.
Le Cellier is good, but nothing special if you have a good steak house at home.

We like Biergarten for multi age groups. The adults love the beer and the kids love the music and dancing.

Our favorite is Spice Road Table. We love the atmosphere and the food and service are consistently stellar.

Another vote for Spice Road Table - especially with a larger party. The small plates are delicious. My kids 12 & 9 really enjoyed it.

So Monsieur Paul did cross my mind and I've heard great things about it, I'm worried that there is nothing on the menu that my youngest will eat. Anyone know if they have any alternatives not on the menu for kids? I know some restaurants do and some don't. I was thinking of Akershus too, but most of what you hear about it is not good and I'd hate to spend that much money for food that is not that good. Thank you for the feedback so far!

With the kids in mind, I would consider Via Napoli, Teppan Edo, or Biergarten.

We are not fond of any of Epcot TS. We usually take a short walk to the Beach Club and enjoy Cape May's Clambake dinner - it has equal seafood, and 'non' dishes, with a separate child's buffet. We especially love the crab legs and clam chowder, although everything is delicious.

With a group that large, and the kids involved, I’d suggest Biergarten. I think it would make for a fun environment, and there’s plenty of variety for the whole group.

We were largely disappointed with dining this trip. That said, I'd return to Teppan Edo or Via Napoli. Steak at Le Cellier was ok, but sides weren't good. My wife and daughter really liked La Hacienda, but I wasn't impressed. We've eaten at most of the restaurants at Epcot and the Epcot resorts (but not Flying Fish) and I'd recommend either Teppan Edo or Via Napoli (but the pasta is better than the pizza).

Tutto Italia, Coral Reef, Teppan Edo, Biergarten, Garden Grill - We've had good experiences at all of those. I'd second Cape May Café too.

We were going to eat at Teppan Edo during our trip. But, we needed to cut down on TS meals (we have the dining plan). Because there are so many good QS options at Epcot, we decided to eliminate our TS on our Epcot day.

I will add another vote for Teppan Edo. The food is good, a party that size will likely get you a teppanyaki table to yourselves, and there's enough variety to satisfy different tastes

Thank you all for your input. I think I've decided on Yachtsman. We were originally going to eat there because we were going to do a split stay between BC & Poly. But we changed it to just staying at the Poly. So thank you for reminding me that it's just a short walk from World Showcase, I totally forgot!
