Suggestions for Table Service out of the Parks on Dining Plan

What is your favorite restraurant that is not in the parks? We are looking for one for dinner after a water park day. We are on the dining plan. We have been several times and we want to try something new to us.

We love Ragland Road (after 9pm) for the live entertainment. The food is good, but it's fun watching the performers. Planet Hollywood can be a fun night too. I love their salmon.

It's easy to go to one of the resorts for dinner: Whispering Canyon Cafe is good, solid food and the entertainment makes you laugh! Ohana is a good dinner especially if you can get it around fireworks time. I never tried this, but I hear a lot of people enjoy the buffet at the Trails End Restaurant at Fort Wildnerness. You could even go for a hay ride or watch the movie and eat smores.

If you are staying at a deluxe or mod, thse resorts will have at least one TS restaurant and may be a good choice. There are many great TS at the resorts as well as DTD. Give us some more info please, so we can help....

We love Spoodles...it is a nice calm dining place as well. Kona's is good but can get noisy and crowded...if you want to go the Buffet route Boma and Cape May are fun and if you want to go signature (using 2 credits there are a bunch of terrific places).

Another quiet out of the way place we like is the Turf Club at SSR.

We are staying at Pop. I have 2 children.

We have been to Spoodles (love it), Ohana, Boma, Whispering Canyon, and Park Fare.

I have not tried Cape May, or Trails End Buffet, or Turf Club. We are just looking for something different. We were considering Concourse before it closes but not too sure about it.

Oh lordy, there are so many restaurants to choose from!!! I have a hard time believing you're only doing one restaurant out of the parks...

My DH, friends and I are all going in September for 14 days and only 2 of our TS ADRs will be in a park. We have eaten at many many restaurants at WDW, here's what we've narrowed it down to, to give you an idea of some of the really good restaurants outside the parks:
Jiko
Narcoossee's
1900 Park Fare
Artist Point
Coral Reef
Kona Cafe
Captain's Grille
'Ohana
Le Cellier
California Grill


Some of these are worth 2 TS credits but still well worth it. We switch it up a lot because we go all the time so others that aren't on here that we go to often:
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Liberty Tree Tavern
Boma
Citricos

Concourse Steakhouse, we're going in September and it's going to be closed but this is one we'd do every time no matter what so I'd definitely recommend it. Plus when you're done it's a nice short walk to MK from there. If you're going B4 mid May, hands down-GO THERE!!!

We have lots of favorites too but my DH likes to try new ones so I am trying to find one new one. We have several planned out of the parks. I have one night where I only have plans for inside the park. I am trying to plan one outside for each night so that if it rains and we have to switch our water park days, we will be covered.

IF you'd go to the Contemporary with two kids skip Concourse and do Chef Mickey's.
It's good food and fantastic Disney fun on a day away from the parks. Take the bus to MK and walk back to the Contemporary; just as quick as taking the monorail.
