Hi everyone!
I'm going to be officially starting the new school year next week. This is my 3rd year teaching, and I really want to incorporate more Disney in my classroom. Beforehand, I only put Mickey ears on the penguins of my room door. Penguins are another love of mine; I usually have them everywhere.
Not all the students picked up on the Mickey ears until later in the year!
A gift from a former student that now hangs behind my desk.
Anyway, I spoke about Disney in class and used it in examples, but I want to really brighten up the walls of my room with more Disney things! I thought of a few ideas, but I was trying to figure out more and thought, "Hey, maybe the good people of DIS have some ideas!"
These are the ones I already did:
1. WOODY - I'm setting up one section of the wall dedicated to things that are illegal or against the law in terms of writing (ex. it's illegal to write eachother as one word, should/could/would of instead of should/could/would have), and I'll add to it as it comes up in their writing. I chose Woody because he's a sheriff! Writing is important to me, which is why I also have a sign up in the center section above my whiteboard that says, "Take the time to write it wright" with the W in "wright" crossed out.
2. WALL-E (in front of his cooler with some garbage/treasure in it) - He's on a "Please Recycle" sign. It pains me when students throw away paper that could easily be dropped in my recycling box instead!
3. CINDERELLA (in her rags as she's cleaning) - She's on a "Help keep our room clean!" sign.
Do you have any other ideas? It could be any Disney movie. The wider the variety, the better! Classic movies or current Pixar movies are fine. Even if you have an idea using the movies used above, please share!
Do you have any ideas for any other Disney things that may not be in the movies (ex. Mickey ears). I do have a stack of Mickey head paint samples from Home Depot, but I'm not quite sure what to do with them yet. Also, my sign is in Waltograph as you saw. Any inspirational quotations?
Any and every idea would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
