Suggestions for restaurant in Epcot

We only have one day in Epcot and are trying to make the most of that day. While we are having breakfast at Cindy's at the Magic Kingdom we will be heading immediately over to Epcot after that. There are three of us and one is our DS (8). Originally we were going to head back to the Magic Kingdom and go to Crystal Palace for dinner but felt that would be too much running around. So, now I am trying to find a place at Epcot that might work. Since we will be there in the evening and illuminations would be at 9:00 (one part of the park closes at 7:00 and the other at 9:00) what suggestions do you have for dining and what time to make the most of our day and still see illuminations.

Thank you.

Definitely have dinner in World Showcase. We love San Angel Inn (Mexico) and Le Cellier (Canada). I am so looking forward to my next trip because I love eating in all the different countries. The atmosphere is great!!

Do you want a character meal? If so, Garden Grill is very good...the character interaction and food were both excellent when we went in November. Plus the whole restaurant slowly rotates through the different "lands", so your scenary changes every 15 minutes or so.

We've also gone to Coral Reef, where one entire wall is a fish tank. My son really got a kick out of that.

As far as other World Showcase restaurants, we haven't been to any though I've heard that Le Cellier is very good, as well as Rose & Crown.

You might want to take a look through the menus on wdwinfo.com or over at allears and see what might interest you and what your child would eat.

Our favorite is Le Cellar, also enjoy Rose & Crown. If you eat around 7:00 / 7:30 you should have plenty of time to see Illuminations

I would say Le Cellier or Nine Dragons. Then after dinner you can simply find a place around the showcase to sit and watch. Dinner at Nine Dragons will be a faster meal than Le Cellier.

I'll agree with the Garden Grill suggestion. We love LeCellier, but it's harder to get into. I like the GG because of the variety of food that is brought out and the character interaction was great. If there weren't so many more we wanted to try throughout WDW we'd eat there 2x a trip.

Teppanyaki Dining Room is great. The food is typical of famed Benny Honnah (sp?).:confused3 The food is cooked in front of you. The kids enjoyed it too. Also, believe it or not the restaurant at Moracco was great also. Not many people go there but we all enjoyed it.:thumbsup2

You are correct. I tried to get Le Cellier and the only times available were really early or almost during Illuminations. We tenatively have booked reservations at Garden Grill for 6:50 and Rose & Crown at 7:10. I am so bad at making decisions I am so glad that these boards are out there. I guess I will compare the menus. However, the idea of the Garden Grill rotating might be fun. Thank you for the input.

Try a lunch at the Boulangerie Patisserie. It's a counter-service shop down the alley in France. You can get a wonderful ham-and-cheese crossant and a pastry for under ten dollars. All the pastries are wonderful (after all, this is France).

That sounds wonderful. We will try that as we will most likely need a quick snack during the day.

Le Cellier is wonderful. Also, Rose and Crown pub was pretty good plus at check in you can see if they have any seats available for viewing Illuminations
