Okay, so I've built in 2 non-park days into our upcoming trip. This is a first for us. We have done the Downtown Disney restaurants to death. So I'm looking for something different to do.

So, which resort restaurants would you recommend doing?

I can't eat shellfish so nothing that is primarily seafood related please. Other than that I will eat anything. My two co-travellers will usually find something to eat on the menu. I'm looking to try something new and maybe find a new favorite restaurant.

There are a ton of restaurants at contemporary, poly and grand Floridian. Also great restaurants on the Boardwalk including the swan and dolphin. Artist point at wilderness.

Boma and Sanaa are not to be missed in my opinion...I also enjoy the Grand Floridian Cafe if you're looking for something nice, but not over the top.

Some of our faves:
'Ohana
Kona
California Grill
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Boma, it's one of the few buffets that I actually enjoy, very wide variety of food

We have done the Downtown Disney restaurants to death.

Does that include the new ones at Disney Springs? Art Smith's Homecoming, Blaze Pizza, Boathouse, D-Lux Burger, plus others? Many more choices there now.
I will also always point anyone to Sanna. Super good and the restaurants in the Swan/Dolphin.

Literally anything at Animal Kingdom Lodge. All three restaurants are excellent and, frankly, significantly better than typical Disney quality.

There are a lot of great resort TS restaurants.

In the MK area, we like The Wave, Cali Grille and Artist Point.

In the EP area, we like Capt. Grille, Trattoria al Forno, bluezoo and Kimono's

At AKL, Sanaa is our favorite

Non-Signatures
Sanaa: Laid back vibe, good food (especially the bread service), good service, and animals on the savannah (during daylight hours)
Kona: While a bit noisy, the food is usually solid, especially the duck and lamb; moderately priced by Disney standards
Kimonos: If you like sushi. . .and no ADRs. But, it's a fun place with very good service and above average sushi
Il Mulino: While technically listed as fine dining, you can do "small plates" of any of their pastas so the cost is significantly lower; lovely ambiance, good food & service

Signatures
Artist Point: Great ambiance, usually excellent food and service, and a lovely wine/beer list
Jiko: Topnotch service and wine list, excellent food, charming hospitality

Here are a few of my fave Resort Table service places (non signature restaurants):
Trail's end buffet at Fort Wilderness (for supper they serve alot of the same food as Hoop dee Doo show. They share the same kitchen)
The Wave at the Contemporary. I like breakfast there. you can order off the menu or have buffet. I prefer the buffet. ($22 adult/$15 kids)
Grand Floridian Cafe I have had Breakfast and dinner, very good food. Love breakfast especially. They make an awesome eggs benedict!
Boatwrights at Port Orleans Riverside. Love their Voodoo chicken (Chicken & waffles) served with a maple bacon sauce YUM! They do have alot of seafood dishes, but also ribs, steaks, prime rib, chicken and pasta.
Boma at AKL- Great Breakfast & dinner. (buffet)
Sanaa at AKL Kidani Village recently started serving breakfast, but also have lunch and dinner.

As PP has mentioned don't forget the New restaurants at Disney Springs that have recently opened.
