Hi everyone. We are taking the Wonder cruise in October and will arrive the day before on an early flight. We would like to spend one night at Disney in a concierge room so we can just relax and swim.

Our group is comprised of myself, DH, DD age 12 and DD age 9.

This will be our 6th trip to WDW and we always stay on site, but have never stayed at the concierge level. We are fairly light eaters, so we will probably have lunch at the pool bar and just have some snacks from the concierge in the evening in lieu of dinner if that's possible.

I'd welcome any suggestions to help us pick (crossing fingers for fall codes!). Thanks.

None of the concierge lounges really offer enough to make dinner out of, especially if you're only having a light lunch too. You might want to plan on having an actual dinner someplace.

The AKL and polynesian are my favorites, and both have the best evening offerings IMHO. A lagoon view Polynesian room in the warm weather is probably Disney at it's best :) Both have great pools too.

I have to respectfully disagree with Anne. We are also light eaters and had no problem making a dinner out of the concierge offerings at AKL. There were at least three different meats on skewers, slices of a wrap-style sandwich, some salad-type side dishes and more. We all ate enough to be full and did not take more than our share. Then, later in the evening, they would bring out desserts. For us it was the perfect cap to a light dinner.

As to the original question, I would go with the AKL. It is a destination all on its own. With a concierge-level room you would have the savannah view so you would be able to sit on your balcony and enjoy the animals. The pool is very nice at AKL, although if the pool is your main priority I'd go with the Yacht or Beach Club.

Hi, the Poly has an EXCELLENT concierge and a great pool! You can also view the fireworks and EWP from the Lounge or the Beach. The nite time offerings are plentiful (5-7pm) and desserts with cordial selections are Wonderful! This would be my choice for a one nite stay. Joan
