Suggestions for one day park-to-park July 3rd

We have a one day park-to-park ticket that we plan to use on July 3rd. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the most of this one day ticket? We are big Harry Potter fans and want to do everything there. Unfortunately, this is a busy time of year and I'm worried the lines are going to be crazy. Even if we got there when the park opens, the resort guests will already be there so the lines will more than likely be ridiculous before we even arrive. Is there a better time to ride the train or Gringotts? morning, afternoon or evening? Any lunch suggestions? Thanks.

Arrive as early as possible, use the single rider lines when available and get an express pass if you can afford it.

Get the Universal ap and keep a close eye on the wait times.

We will be there that day as well - with people who have not been for years and years and only have one day. They will have express (and the guest assistance thing for special needs) so our hope is that alone is enough to make it work. (Due to the group, I don't think they will use single rider much). I'm also concerned about how to walk around in the crowds - especially since one person is in a wheelchair. Due to that, I'm going to plan out a route with the least walking possible for them as well to give us less time that we need to fight crowds walking. If it were just my family, we wouldn't worry so much about extra walking - we often backtrack a lot to make use of the shortest lines at the best times. (I'm not sure if we are able to get them the extra hour - the wording on the pass we have for them is confusing).
