Suggestions for non disney plan

Would like some suggestions for the ADR restaurants not on the plan so not too spendy (I realize nothing is cheap at wow). Will be with DH, DS (10) and DD (9).

Also a special place for DD Birthday meal while we are there... and it will be my (40) while we are there also.

I recommend taking a look at the menus on Allears.net. They have prices and can help you get a sense of which places might be within your price range. In general, a la carte breakfasts and lunches tend to be less expensive than dinners. Some less expensive places (most entrees in the under $25 range) that I like are Liberty Tree Tavern (lunch), Rose & Crown (lunch), Via Napoli (especially if you split things), Yak & Yeti, and Sci Fi.

Only the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin are not on the dining plan. But you don't need to be on a dining plan to eat at any Disney restaurant.

As suggested by figment jii, have a look at the menus of any of the restaurants that look interesting. Both the WDW website and Allears.net have menus with prices.

Generally, buffets and family style (AYCTE) restaurants will be more expensive than a la carte ones. And of course the signatures are even more expensive.

BOG might be fun to do for a birthday dinner. Or Rose and Crown, Raglan Road, 50s PTC, or Sanaa.
