I am sending my Daughter and her Family, DH, DD 7, and DD 9 to OKW in a 2BR for 5 nights. I will not be going along and I was wondering what some of you could suggest I do, say, send, or arrange that would make their stay ever better.

Thanks.

Maybe one of the special Princess events for your DGDs?

We are treating our DDiL and our 2 DGD's to one of them. Our DGS and his DD will go fishing at the Ole Fishing Hole at POR. We are leaving WDW before they will in November, and it's our way of just giving them something special to remind them of us, since they'll all be missing us those last few days:rotfl:

Maybe you can surprise them and show up yourself!

We're taking our nephews next June, and I've already ordered them some glow necklaces/bracelets/glow cubes, etc. to enjoy in the parks at night so their parents won't have to shell out $$ buying them.

Maybe you could give/ship them some things like that? It wouldn't be expensive, and kids love those things!

I made our kids a Tinkerbell Coupon Book. It had things like one pin of their choosing, any snack etc. The things were not expensive. You could pick three or four things and just give your daughter some money to cover the Grandma surprises.

You could call the hotel and put money on your daughter's account. My mom did this once for us.

Find out where they are eatting one night and order a small cake and have it brought to the table.

My husband sent me flowers from WDW florst. They also have a great snack bag for 25 or 30 dollars.

Give your daughter a new Disney DVD to take with them to watch in the villa or ship it down as a surprise.

Disney Dollars are fun.

Order them a Disney survival pack (autograph book, pen, bottle strap etc.) and give it do them before they leave or have your daughter give it to them once there.

Get the Kodak disposal cameras that they can take pictures with. Provide a photo album when they return to put their pictures in.

Treat the family to a water park day if they don't have plus tickets.

I love bringing people and surprising them; I can also probably think of a dozen more things! :)

We took my best friend and her family last year with us to OKW - I ordered some cute stuff on disneyshopping.com and had it delivered to the resort - got me and her slippers, got the kids some shirts and beach towels. Plus, you can use your DVC discount online!

My niece and nephew(6 & 4) enjoyed the wishes cruise.
Half way through wishes, my nephew asked my sister-in-law if they could live there forever. Totally made the cruise worth the expense.

I have used fellow DISer, Feralpeg, many times - she makes wonderful baskets and is GREAT to work with! http://www.peggyssweetsandmore.com/

I love having autograph books, pens, an Epcot passport, ears, pins, etc, or a stuffed disney beanie or doll to sleep with there when we check in - keeps me from having to run around and gather up all those little things the kids want to have on our first day - they hit the parks ready to go!! The kids love having their own little basket of goodies to open - always starts the trip with BIG smiles!!:thumbsup2

Give the grandkids disposable cameras and ask them to take pictures of their vacation for you. They would enjoy it and it would be special for you too. You can get real nice ones for under $10 just about anywhere. I would suggest one that has an ISO of 200.
