Suggestions for Makeup and Hair for Wedding in May

Hi Everyone:

I am in major need of suggestions for Makeup and Hair people for the end of May.

The one person I called was not available. I am from NJ and need a reliable and great makeup artist that can make me look beautiful and not bridal!

The names I see most from satisfied brides here on the Dis are Patricia LeJeune and Beaute Speciale. My planner also said that the above two and M3 Makeup are the three best in the area.

I used Janet Mednick of Onsite Beauty for my VR in November. She was fantastic to work with and I looked great. She also did my hair and make up for a shoot with Regina last April, my welcome dinner and my MK shoot. I have booked her for another upcoming Regina shoot.

I have booked Beaute Speciale for hair and make up for my summer wedding, so I haven't actually experienced their services as yet. However, I must say that as a 'long-distance' bride (booking everything from the UK) the service has been fantastic! I would definitely recommend them. Veronica (their booking consultant) has been so helpful in giving advice and suggestions and she responds to my emails almost immediately!

If the services I receive on the day are as good as the booking/pre-wedding day service I'll be very pleased indeed!

I chose them as a lot of brides on this site seem to have been happy with them, and, knowing that they have a 'team' of beauticians gives added peace of mind - as I thought that if the one allocated to me perhaps was ill or had to be called away on an emergency or something on the day (these things do happen!) then I considered that there would probably be someone else available on 'standby' from their team.

As said - they have been great so far - so give them a call/email.

Jackie and Isa from Beaute Speciale did hair and make-up for me, my mom, my sister and my niece the day of the wedding. I highly recommend them! We all loved how we looked and they were so much fun! It really made the getting ready for the day part totally non stressful. DH and I want to do another photo shoot for his birthday in a few years, and I plan on booking them again.

We used Beaute Especial and loved them! They were there on time and actually finished doing 7 people's hair and make up in 3 hours. They were so nice and gave lots of advice. I would totally use them!
