Do you have any suggestions to make the character interactions the best ever? My dd4 is so excited, and I know that it will all be magical to her, so I was wondering if there is anything we could do to up the experience. I am hoping a little pixie dust finds us! TIA. :paw:

I am not sure about how to be the "best ever" but there are some things to make meeting characters more interesting, so you are not just the typical "say hello, sign autograph, take picture, say bye"! :teeth:

One great way to get more interacton is to ask an easy question that is based on the character's movie. Characters like that since it shows you took some time to think! I think we asked Cinderella if her step-sisters were around; or asked Aurora if she goes by the name Briar Rose or Aurora here. Another neat thing to do is to have some item with the character's picture on it. When we met Ariel, she loved the fact that my niece had a Ariel bandaid on! When we met Jafar, my nephew had his Disney beanie and Jafar LOVED that!

So little things like that can help when meeting the characters! :)

I have to say go to a character meal. I know they are time consuming and fairly expensive, but we have always been impressed with the time they spend with each table and the photo opportunities. We have stood in line several times throughout the park for photo ops, but they are always much more rushed, and more than a few times they'll leave for a break before the end of the line. With the character meals, at least they have pretty good food and definate interactions with the characters. :cool1:

just let you kids talk to the characters and cast members. my son and one of the CM's talked about yu-gi-oh for about 10 mins. i just shook my head. he said that he doesn't get too many folks that talk about stuff like that with him. my DS also played with peter pan for a while. we have always had great character interactions. and almost always due to the fact that we talk and play with them.

I agree with the posters.

We always talk to the characters. When my cousin went down for the 25th anniversary(about 10 years ago)-Dale took a liking to him. When we went down a few years later I reminded Dale (@ Liberty Tree) that Dominick missed him and said hello. Dale put on quite a show of excitement and even wrote a note in my daughter's autograph book for my cousin. Last year (again @ Liberty Tree) I happily told Dale that his pal Dominick was getting married-so again Dale signed an autograph congratulating him. Obviously it could never be the same person-but the characters are more than willing to play along. Someday my interacting with the characters isn't going to be fun for my daughter.

Oh well
