So we are stopping in Freeport... which I haven't stopped there in years and years on a cruise... and last time, I was on girl trip Bachelorette party cruise... and I remember, doing a beach day there, which was okay for what we were celebrating... the food was terrible and the drinks super watered down... and we could not snorkel as it was to rough...so a bust really....

My cousin and his wife really want to swim with the dolphins.... so we looked at a excursion and it 209.00 per person... which is about right...

Now my cousin is like what can we do beside that, and do we have to do a excursion.... whats to do in town... I have no idea and from what I remember there is nothing to do maybe some shopping? She still wants to swim with the Dolphins...

We are doing Atlantis Aquaventure in Nassau... so I don't think he is wanting to spend that kind of money on a Dolphin swim...

Any thoughts or suggestion are much appreciated...

Not a suggestion for Freeport, but my family did the Atlantis Aquaventure along with a dolphin interaction there through resortforaday.com. If you bundle together, the price might be a little more palatable.

I ran that option by them, they really want to spend most of the time on the slides, and lazy river/rapids, as well pop into the casino for a bit... if we have time, and a definite stop want to hit the straw market, and pickup some adult beverages for their bar back home... and still make it back to the ship on time for departure... So its gonna be a busy stop... I really think we will end up not going into the casino... you never know... especially if it starts raining or something...

I had a conversation with a crew member of a cruise ship once regarding Freeport. Most cruise directors and crew members seem to think that Freeport is one of the worst ports and there's nothing to do there except drink at Senor Frogs. I think that's what I'd do! LOL

Well I really have no idea what we will do... if we don't do the dolphin swim... I guess I will look maybe snorkeling, which is always good choice... or just a beach day...

I was in Freeport for a month for dry dock...
I vote beach day. There's not much else.

I prefer staying on the ship at that port. It's nice to have it mostly empty (although more and more people are staying on the ship here) You can ride the slides with less of a wait and have the pools less crowded. If you really want to get off they have taxis in port that will take you to the beach for around $4 one way. I did that with a friend and then walked over to Atlantis.

I have only been once when I was in 6th grade. All I remember is there was a pharmacy where we got aloe gel for the really bad sunburn I got when we went to Paradise Beach (WAAAAAY pre-Atlantis) our second day in Nassau. (Yep. There used to be ships that overnighted in Nassau!)
