We will have two days reserved for MK, one EMH and will always arrive at rope drop. Since we have 4 and 6 year old girls, Fantasyland will be where we want to spend our mornings. I will try to get Anna and Elsa M&G for the non- EMH morning but otherwise I am not sure how to tackle the area. There isn't one attraction in fantasyland that they would want to miss but I know we can't do everything. Any touring plan suggestions? Would you use FP+ in the morning?

I would FP+ enchanted tales with Belle for one of your days. If you are not at the very front of the rope drop pack that line builds up really fast. I think our FP for that was around 10:30 so we could hit other fantasyland rides while the lines were short, but be sure we were through with ETWB before our lunch ADR.

Thanks makes sense, great tip. How is the wait if you FP+ it? What did you do before going there?

This is what I came up with ..hit PPF first thing at rope drop .. Then kinda go counterclockwise from there around all of fantasyland . Stop at Gastons for a snack around 11:30ish.. Then hit ETWB using a FP+ around 12???

How would you do this for two mornings? Focus on the longer lines attractions first thing or just work around in order?

We walked right in with our FP+. But since the shows are ongoing, if you hit just after they have filled the first room, you might have to wait 10 minutes. It is a matter of luck.

If you get there at rope drop, I would hit Peter Pan first, then from there go to the Ariel ride, and then to Ariel's Grotto to meet Ariel. Everyone heads straight to the new Fantasyland, so Peter Pan should be walk on. As Ariel is fast loading, it takes a little while longer for that line to build, which is why I would hit it second. After that, you might want to hit Barnstormer and Dumbo and the characters back there (Circus Minnie, Daisy, Donald and Goofy). The bad thing about Dumbo in the mornings is that the kids want to stay in that play area, which wastes valuable morning short line times. You might even want to bypass it until later if you think that is going to be an issue.

I'm assuming that you are going to get your Anna and Elsa FP. Are you going to try to FP+ Cinderella and Rapunzel too? If not and they are important to your girls, one of the mornings you should probably head there at rope drop before the rides. They are both pretty popular Princesses, and I think once they are together, their lines are going to increase. Rapunzel's line is already pretty bad. That morning, you might do Cinderella/Rapunzel and then Pooh. Those are all the ones that build up to the biggest lines, usually Small World, Philharmagic, the Carousel and Tea Cups lines aren't too bad. Also meeting Peter Pan, who now meets with Wendy too, is always important to my DD. They come out for the first time at 9:15. If you get towards the front of the Cinderella/Rapunzel line, you might get out in time to get over and see them right when they come out. If your girls are into characters, I would highly recommend KennythePirate.com. He has schedules for the characters in all the parks. I used to print out his schedules, but now I use his app on my phone. You can definitely do everything in Fantasyland! We always do!

Forgot about the Mine Train opening. That may have you changing up your plans a bit, if it is open for your trip and if you don't get a FP+ for it one of the days. I would say if you can't get a FP+ for that you should probably do your best to be in the front of the rope drop pack one day and make a beeline straight for it, if the girls want to ride it.

I would definitely get a FP for ETWB or Peter Pan if you can't be there right away for rope drop and the line is more the 30 minutes after the park opens.

We did Fantasy Land in 2 chunks, one in the morning and then one later in the evening. And for us, it worked beautifully. When we got there, we went straight to FL, and knowing we had FP's for Peter Pan and ETWB we did Small World (hats off to my grandpa, it has to be the first ride done), Winnie the Pooh, Mickey's Philharmonic, and Peter Pan. Then we went to Adventureland, FrontierLand and Liberty Square.

In the early afternoon we headed back over to FL for our FP for ETWB and had a snack at Pincochio's Village Haus. We spent the early afternoon taking turns shopping in the stores on mainstreet and enjoying the hub while my son napped in the stroller.

We saved new fantasy land for the evening after our ADR at Crystal Palace we went over there at about 6:30. We did Ariel's grotto, the ride, dumbo, barnstormer and princess fairy tall hall. After new FL we headed to tomorrow land and ended our day there.

This strategy worked for us, it may not work for everyone. But what worked for us. We were pretty flexible on what order we were going to see things. I kept the app on my phone and checked in with wait times- if the wait was short we went on it, if it was long we came back later. I think the longest we waited in line was for ariel and that was maybe 35 minutes.

We just got back and spent two mornings in the MK.

Our first morning, Fantasyland was priority. But, I also have two boys who aren't into princesses or character greetings....so that must have helped. I had fastpasses for Dumbo around 9-10, followed by Ariel 10-11 and 11-12 range was Enchanted Tales with Belle. So, with that in mind, I knew that we had until 10 to do Dumbo.

First, we hit Peter Pan first since I know the afternoon lines are crazy, but I don't see why it's a FP not to miss either.... that was 10 min. Then we went right to Small World which was 10 min. Then we headed to Dumbo and on the way my family got on the teapots which was a 5 minute wait. Then we used our FP for Dumbo which was 5 min wait... and could have been standby for only 10...or ridden again if they wanted. Then we went to the Ariel ride with our FP once and the little one loved it that we went again.... total waiting time was as long as it took to walk through that long queue both times. (But, to meet Ariel it would have been 30 mins at that point). Then we stopped for snack time at Gaston's. The cinnamon bun was gigantic and tasty, the chocolate croissant was good and the special drink was pretty good. Next, we used our FP for Enchanted Tales with Belle and only waited about 3 minutes. And even after that took in Philharmagic. We did all of that before noon.

At the suggestion of others, we avoided the parks with EMH since they are known to be the most crowded that day. So, I am not sure if a plan like ours would work on an EMH day. You would have to find out the answer to that question.
Granted, we skipped the carousel, Winnie the Pooh, and Mine Train wasn't opened and we didn't have to schedule any princess meetings. But we were very happy with what we accomplished.

See if I had arrived at Dumbo and seen the 5 min wait, I wouldn't have used my FP+. I would have ridden Stand by and changed my FP+ to something else. I also wouldn't FP in the first 2 hours of park opening, that's the time to get in you standby rides, when lines are the shortest. (Except on departure day when I'm only staying a few hours anyway).

What does anyone think of this plan...myself, DH, DD6:
Get to MK early on an non-EMH day
1. PPF
2.pooh
3.tea cups
4. Ariel ride
5. Barnstormer
6. Dumbo

We have a FP+ for ETWB at10:30-11:30 so I hope to get though what we can on the list above before that, then do the rest after. Then we have a Space mt FP at 11:30-12:30. DD is a huge thrill rider too.

We love lunch at Pecos Bills so will head over that way when FL rides are done. Hope to hit POTC and have a FP for splash at 12:45-1:45. Want to try to get as much as possible done on this list and then go from there.

On our arrival day, after check in and grabbing a bite to eat, I hope to make it to MK by 4:30. We have FP for BTMRR, Philharmagic, and Space mt in the later evening hrs. Our plan is to just walk around, see what is walk on, and do it, and then hit our FPs. It's evening EMH that night so we'll see how tired everyone is to stay or to maybe watch the parade and fireworks.

I wouldn't waste a FP+ on Philharmagic.

I wouldn't either but there was nothing else available that was a FP must so it was like going with the lesser of the lessers

Definitely do not do philharmagic fp. Such a waste. There is never a wait, especially in the evening. There's nothing else you wanted to fp? Jungle cruise? Pirates has been getting a line lately as well, and so has buzz and haunted mansion. Or even a fantasyland ride?
