All,

We are planning to be in Disney over Easter next year. Just starting to frame up our daily itinerary, and was looking for some input on a good place to have Easter dinner. Could be in a park or outside on Disney property. We will not be staying on property however. Thanks in advance

Bumping this as we will be there for Easter, too, and we are curious :)

I'm also there for easter in 2016. Currently we are looking at having easter dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table because.... well why not? lol A little googling shows that there are a couple of easter brunches (last year they were at Grand Floridian and Contemporary) if that is the kind of thing you are looking for.

Have any of you ever been to WDW over Easter before? If so, what are your strategies for planning your days?

I have been waiting to post on this thread because I'm not sure how helpful my info is. My family was at WDW last year for Easter. We attended Easter Mass at the Contemporary in the morning and then went to Hollywood Studios that day. I had seen a post earlier saying that the Magic Kingdom is VERY crowded on Easter so we avoided that park. HS was not too crowded for that time of year and it was a very nice day! We planned our ADRs for Hollywood & Vine for lunch (my kids love Disney Jr.) and 50's Prime Time Cafe for dinner (thought it would be fun for my DMIL). Both were great dining experiences but there was nothing special about either one of them for Easter.

The night before we went to our resort's gift shop (The Wilderness Lodge's Mercantile) and ordered Easter baskets for our kids which was very helpful. I filled it up with goodies from the shop and it turned out to be quite pricey. This year I am hoping to bring stuff from home and just buy their baskets and have the store employees wrap it up (they said that this was an option) to save a little money.

In terms of the rest of the week for planning, we stuck with the crowd calendar and followed their recommendations for the least crowded parks. We got to the parks early also and left for an afternoon break and then returned at night. It worked out well and although there were a lot of people, it really wasn't too bad overall. We are going again this Easter and are looking to do one nice table service meal on that day but have not decided which one yet.

This was very helpful and positive!

We are thinking a brunch on Easter 2016 as well. So it looks like in years past there have been 2 special brunches (Grand Floridian and Contemporary). Has anyone been to these in the past? Are the only characters the bunnies? Is it worth it?

We do almost the same thing! The only thing different is that we don't head down til the day after Easter, mainly because it's my holiday to host the family dinner LOL. Crowd calendars help a TON and so does a relaxed attitude about how much you want to get done vs how much you want to stress out your family. We do a lot of hanging out by the pool to recharge and take a break from the extra crowds. I was sad when we realized our kids are older now and can't skip school anymore, but Easter really isn't bad if you manage your expectations. And the kids not having to do any homework during their vacation is nice as well!

Last year we went to Easter Brunch at Chef Mickey -- though it's offered year-round now, it wasn't at the time. It was just like the regular brunch (we went last week). So not Easter-special. We did LOVE all of the Easter activities at the resorts. We were at Fort Wilderness and my kids did the candy scramble there, then we went to the Contemporary and did cookie decorating and other activties and played games and won cool Disney prizes. I think this year Easter will be a non-park day and we'll just resort hop on the boat and monorail. We had a really great time last year. We only went to the parks in the evening and used our pre-booked FPs and then hit a few favorites with little or no wait (like People Mover).

I am interested in doing the brunch at the GF this year. Nothing yet on the site about special Easter meals, so I don't think it will be available to book yet when my ADR window opens in a few days. Anyone know when these usually become available for booking?? I dont' want to miss it.

I am interested in Easter Day dining too. We are leaving on a DCL cruise Easter day but will be doing a pre-cruise stay at the Boardwalk. I'm looking for an Easter breakfast somewhere on property before we leave to go to the port.

We did the brunch at Boma in Easter, no characters but the food was amazing. And they didn't jack the price, whichbqas important to us

Definitely interested in a brunch or something for Easter, as well as activities for the kids (9,11,14). Does anyone have a picture of what the Easter baskets look like? I would love to have them wrap them up for me!
