Hi everyone! We leave Denver this afternoon and have planned the next 2 days at Disneyland and CA. I know the forecast doesn't look great for tomorrow as far as the rain is concerned. Any suggestions from those of you who have done a Damp Disneyland trip? We have our boys with us, ages 4 and 22 months. Thank you!

Karla :)

Do you have a smart phone? If you do, I highly recommend getting a weather app that includes radar. I had that the last time I was in DLR when it was rainy and it was very helpful. We could look at the map and gauge when there will be breaks in the storm. We used those breaks to go from place-to-place and we also could tell when heavy rain was coming and we knew not to head to an outdoor queue at that point!

Rainy days are good for shows (e.g., Aladdin, Playhouse Disney). Attraction lines tend to be shorter than normal (because folks stay home), so it's a good chance to get in rides. However, keep an eye on the forecast and avoid the outdoor queues if it's going to pour.

Also note that some attractions will shut down if it's raining. Some will only close if it's pouring, others will close when it starts raining. Most any outdoor ride will close if it's rains hard enough and long enough.

Will you have a stroller for the little one? Or for both kids? I would look into getting a rain cover for it. It really helps! Also, ponchos are great and maybe rain boots for the kids? My kids always jump in puddles, so I know their feet would get soaked.

Figment gave some great advice too. I think you will have a great time no matter what as long as you have the right attitude! And I know the kids will have fun! If the rain gets really bad, take a break and grab a treat! Have fun!!

We rented a stroller from City Stroller and got a rain cover. The second pair of shoes is something I would not have thought of! Great idea! The kids have never experienced Disney so if we ended up at a lot of the indoor things, I think it would be fine! We have ponchos and 2 umbrellas.

We have had a few rain days during our February trips and we had on hand:
- ponchos
- a cover for our stroller
- extra shoes/socks that we kept in a locker
- hats

We were able to walk on tons of rides when the rain started because immediately people left or tried to find a place to take cover. I don't recommend Dumbo in the rain however, ouch! LOL.

I just checked the weather sites as our first day in the parks will be Thursday (:cool1:) and it looks as though the forecast has changed now. It was supposed to be rainy off and on for the rest of this week, but now it looks beautifully sunny after tomorrow. Even tomorrow looks pretty dry.

I think you'll be okay! :thumbsup2
