Suggestions for dinner

We are thinking about having our intimate wedding at Sunset Pointe at the Polynesian around 5pm. Still not sure about where we will have dinner but I would like it to be in a location that we could see fireworks. Any suggestions? What is UK Lower Illuminations? I've seen a few people with that listed as their location.

UK Lower is where some of us are having private Illuminations dessert parties with our wedding guests. I think you have to pay for a minimum of 20 guests an the menus start at $17.50 per head without set upand admission. I believe this is also the only way you can get to wear your dress into a park on your wedding day.

If you want to have dinner the only place you could eat and watch the fireworks is at the Rose & Crown. Now I'm from the UK and as much as the food is OK at the R&C I would NOT recommend for a wedding meal, just my opinion.

You could always have dinner at 'Ohana's at The Poly and ask for a table by the window.

Or for an even special meal one of my favourites is California Grill and ask for a window seat there - you get a real close up view of the new WISHES fireworks at MK.

Another nice place with a fireworks view from the windows would be Narcoosees - I believe there are a oouple DIS brides who have done meals there following intimate weddings. I recall reading they printed special menus for guests, with no prices listed, and tat they removed some of the most expensive selections (lobster) from the menu. That is one of my favorite places for a meal, and they do play the music and lower the lights.

Another option which would be way less formal would be to do an impromptu picnic on a beach area where you can view the fireworks and water parade. Not exactly like a wedding reception, but it would be nice and I'm sure fun.
