Since our dining arrangements had a major overhaul this week (since my DH can no longer go), I have opted to skip out on dinner at Artist Point, since my parents were the ones that wanted to eat there. So, that means that I have to figure out dinner for ONE on Friday, 12/14. I will have park admission that day, so I need some suggestions for where to go to eat, but it must be ONE dining credit. We’ve already got plans to eat together at the following:

Crystal Palace
50’s Prime Time
Spoodles
Narcoosee’s
Le Cellier
Cape May Café

Thanks !!

I would go to the Flying Fish and eat at the cooking bar. It's really fun to watch the chefs in action, the food is great, and most of the time you can just be a walk-in and if you request the bar they will give it to you.

I would recommend the Kona Cafe. I love the food there and it is a relatively laid back atmosphere.
Have a great trip.

I've done LOTS of WDW dining for one. It took me time to get used to it, so these I recommend for "beginners"-
Chefs de France-ask for a window table. That way you can watch the goings on outside while you eat. Sometimes I've even been able to watch the show that has the tourist and the balancing chairs (don't know the name)
Sci-Fi dine inn-everyone's sitting watching the screen. It's just like sitting in front of the TV eating at home.
Coral Reef-I always ask for a table with a good view, reminding them that I'm alone and won't have anyone to talk with. They've always been nice
Beaches and Cream-this one's fun if you sit at the counter and watch them make the sundaes

Biergarten in Germany. Youll be placed with other people on a table, good chance to strike up a chat and meet new people.

If you wanna be alone, Chefs de France. I second the window table.

Just realize that it's possible at Biergarten that the other people at the table, for whatever reason, may NOT want to talk to you. That's what happened to me at Teppenyaki last year. The teenaged girl next to me seemed to be allergic to middle-aged, solo women-one word answers, sullen looks, etc. (gee, just like my students!) And it was too loud to talk to much of anyone else. I guess I haven't had good luck with "communal dining"-that's why I don't recommend it.
Also, I think one solo woman got placed at a table of all males, it looked like maybe the server was trying to play matchmaker. No one felt comfortable.

Thanks for the great suggestions !! I've got it narrowed down to the following:

the Italy restaurant
the new Japan restaurant
Wolfgang Puck's Cafe
Ragland Road

It will really depend on what I decided to do the night before. We are going to DTD, so if I ditch the parents and go to PI (Adventurer's Club) on Thursday night, then I'll be at Epcot on Friday night. If I don't go to PI on Thursday, then I'll make an evening of it on Friday night.

gotta decide soon.

Yea, that is possible. Was just remembering how I had been there while on CP by myself, and had a great time with my adopted family for an hour. Sorry to hear : (
