We will be at DL/CA During Easter week (4/17-4/22 yes, a busy time I know.) I have PS's for Napa Rose & Goofy's Kitchen (bkfst) so far. Any suggestions on other locations to eat?

We enjoy fine dining during our vacations, so price is not a matter.

Thanks!

This thread was started by me, unknowingly signed in under my son's user name. I now know how much he loves our DVC points!

Since it is always me and a 7 year old I NEVER get to do the fine dining thing....sigh. The places I have wanted to try though are Granville's, Hook's Pointe, and the japanese restaurant at Paradise Pier whose name escapes me. The Vineyard and Ariel's Grotto in DCA. Blue Bayou wont be open.

In DTD I have wanted to go to Catal and the Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. The Lilo and Stitch breakfast sounds really yummy, and we might try that this time. Have done Storyteller, but it was super slow and we were in a hurry so don't remember much except really good coffee and being cranky they were taking so long.

Have fun! I'm jealous!

We loved the character dinner at Ariel's Grotto in DCA. Best character experience we have had at DL. Also, we just returned and had a couple of meals at Storytellers that were excellent. I highly recommend the salmon and the sandwiches at lunch are HUGE, next time DH and I will share a sandwich as we both wasted half.

I am having the same dilemma.........I need a place to eat the first night with my 2 sons , but that is nice too........my nine year old will eat anything, as long as it is not a kids meal ( very mature tastes , more then mine ) and as long as there is a kids meal the littler one will be fine.!
I keep hearing bad things about storytellers , but I would like to try it. Mybe a Monday night there won't be too bad.

We love the appetizers at the ESPN Club. It is fun they have a great arcade and the slidders and nachos are yummy for a snack. Make reservations at the Plaza Inn for breakfast, great food and really great characters. We loved the food at Brennan's but go early! the wait for food was ridiculous but we had a great waiter and we are not complainers so he gave us free beignets. Yamabuki was not a favorite for my family but we are not big Japanese food eaters.

We just returned from a trip last week. I don't know what kind of food you want but we found the food to be good even at the counter service places. We ate at Carnation Cafe on Main St. in DL, Pacific Wharf Cafe at CA, brunch at Goofy's Kitchen, PCH Grill for both the breakfast buffet and for dinner at PPH. I don't think we had a bad meal. We are used to WDW and all the burger counter service places. It was our first trip to DL and it was so nice to be able to find good quality food at counter service prices in the parks. Both Goofy's and PCH Grill breakfast have great options that you don't usally see for a morning buffet. If you have any questions just ask.

I have grown up going to Disneyland........ :thumbsup2
I am 95% sure I will be getting to go to Disneyland with DS19 ( :goodvibes )
And what do you think was the first thing he said?
"I want to go to the Blue Bayou" :thumbsup2 What a doll.
Now, it has only been a few years (4) since we last went....but I did not know that Disneyland does reservations (PS) like WDW does.
So, can I make reservations at Blue Bayou? how far in advance?

That is just the best place to eat....
I remember eating at French market when I was same age as my son is now, but we ate there 4 years ago and it just seemed so.....icky (not the best word to describe my feelings)..........

You can make a PS for Blue Bayou 60 days ahead of time, but they are closed right now for refurbishment. I think they reopen in June.

We had a good meal at the French Market last year, and I am a total foodie. It wasn't fine dining or anything, but it was pretty good. Maybe you hit it on a bad day.

We have eaten at BB before - it is lots of fun, and unfortunately closed for our trip in April. Great thought though!

Thanks! June (re-open), that is fine!. I am planning on July or august, just a short weekend trip (I only live a days drive or hour flight).

French Market. Well, I like the place, but it just seemed messy. Nobody to clean up dirty tables right away. They just sat there for quite awhile. I love the location....background music...and all, but the dirty tables left unattended made me think twice.

Okay, on to next suggestion to eat......................

I enjoy fine dining as well. The best food (consistently) can be found at Catal in Downtown Disney. Unfortunately they only do dinner. I wish they had lunch too!

Napa Rose was excellent one time and not so good the next (over-salty, cold, fatty meats).

For food to go the Bakery in Downtown Disney can't be beat. I love their breakfasts, fresh baked breads, and luncheon sandwiches. Excellent and fresh.

Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen is good, but you need to like spicey dishes, as they do not have anything bland.

Stay away from Blue Bayou if you are looking for food quality, there are fresher dishes at my company cafeteria. Food is really bad!
