Suggestions for CS before Wishes

We're going to be taking the grandbabies (2 and 3) to see the parade and Wishes in the magic kingdom in December and are looking for a good CS that offers "dinner like" meals where we could eat before we go. We are willing to go to any of the monorail resorts (because the babies would love the train) or the Magic Kingdom itself. I'm looking for substantial food but not table service because we don't want to spend the time that evening. My husband does not like fried food so I was thinking about the chicken and ribs at Cosmic Rays but we are going to be at Whispering Canyon the night before and I thought the food might be too similar. Would you suggest the CS at Poly, Contemporary or Grand Floridian over Cosmic Rays? Any suggestions on favorite foods at any of them?
Thanks for the help
Sharon

I think that the choices at Cosmic Rays are great for all different types of food likes.......they have kids portions and adult portions....soup, sandwiches and a great ceasar salad dishes. The chicken and potato and veggie dinner was great and enough for the two kids to share and an adult too......I couldnt believe how much was on my plate...
Hope you have a great time with the grand babies.....we went with our two youngest this past May

We really liked Captain Cook's at the Poly, the Aloha Pork Sandwich and Polynesian chips were yummy, and HUGE. DGD had a grilled cheese sandwich, the kid loves that and was very happy that it was on the menu. You can also get Dole Whips as dessert, you fill the dish yourself too. :)

Here's the menu:

I love Captain Cook's at the POLY. Their pulled pork sandwich and polynesian chips are fantastic! I also like the flatbread pizza there. That would be my choice.

I think it would also be fun to take them to Casey's at the MK. It will keep you in the area of the parade and fireworks too. They have a cute eating area inside where you can eat on bleachers in front of a big screen that shows Mickey cartoons. The hotdogs are huge and the fries are to die for! They have corndog nuggets that are great and a favorite of ours.

Another suggestion would be the counter service at the Contemporary Resort. It is pretty new and I haven't eaten there yet but their menu looks to have good "dinner like" meals. The kids will no doubt get a kick out of the monorail going into the resort!
