Suggestions for Adults

Norm and I are going on the 7 day eastern cruise this weekend. After 20+ years of teaching and being a Cast Member at a local Disney store, I am looking to relax. We love kids, but are looking for the activities that admult Disney maniacs can enjoy with out being surrounded by kiddies.. We have requested the later dinner seating.. Any other suggestions welcome..

Beat Street is adults only after 9PM. There is a lot of fun that goes on there. Don't miss "Dueling Pianos" in Off Beat, it is a blast. During the day they have a dining and entertaining series that is adults only. The spa is adults only. On your daily navigator the "adults only" activities are clearly marked. You will have a great time! I have been twice with only adults, but in November I am bring my 5 year old nephew and I can't wait!!

We have a four year old who was in the Kids Club practically the whole time we were on the cruise, so it was like we were alone! We also enjoyed the adults only pool area. A lot of times, we felt like we had practically had the whole pool to ourselves, which is not the case on cruises, where the pools are jam packed. This was just another added bonus to the already wonderful trip!! We have already told childless friends that they should do the Disney cruise. It's definitely not just for kids.

When we went without our kids we had a blast! When we went with them we only saw them during dinner - their choice & totally fine with us. (We did run into them occ., but they'd just rattle off what fun they were having & speed off)

We always stuck to the 'adults only' activities/areas of the ship & island & it was wonderful. I encourage you to participate in the activities - even if you just like relaxing like us - because they're short, but they make the trip that much more memorable & fun!

People always think I am crazy when I say that Disney is the best cruise line for adults. But RCCL has few adults-only areas, and we've never seen them enforced. On Disney, the pool, adult beach, spa, and nightclubs are wonderful sanctuaries where the big kids can have their own fun. Be sure to do the nighttime activities like Magicquest, Match Your Mate, and the 70s and 80s parties. They are a blast! Hubby and I have sailed on Disney 33 times and are still never bored.
The only thing to beware of is that the backstage tours, Art of Entertaining, and Navigator Series activities will probably be marked as being for adults only, but there is no enforcement. Other than that, "adults only" will mean "adults only."

DH & I were alone on the Western and found there were plenty of adult things to do. I am also a teacher, but just because I love children that are not mine doesn't mean I wanted to be surrounded by them. Most times, we avoided character signings or lines for pictures with the characters in the main atrium, we also had the late dinner seating, enjoyed the spa, galley tour, napkin folding class, etc. Be sure to go straight to Serenity Bay on Castaway Cay. It is quiet and beautiful. We also walked the deck after dinner under the stars, when most families were putting their little darlings to bed. We had plenty of quiet time, yet enjoyed the little ones when we saw them.

We just returned from the Wonder with DD (23) and DS (19) and again managed to enjoy the adult areas of the ship.
