My DD (18) and DS (20) are planning a Zombie party for next weekend. They planned this time because they and friends are home from college etc. Anyone have any suggestions for decorating the house or food to make the Zombie party even cooler?

I know you all are a creative group so am hoping you can help me out!

Suggestions we have
They are writing some diary pages to leave around about a Zombie attack.
They will have a Zombie movie going in one room (sans sound or very low sound)
They will have zombie music in the other room
We will pretent to board up some windows
Some caution and Infection sides around

Still working on the food suggestions.

Google halloween recipes, there are some cool ways to decorate simple foods. Also you can take washable red paint and do "bloody" handprints on cleanable surfaces like windows or even the fridge..that is what we did for Halloween one year lol.

There were some really good threads about Halloween party food ideas, and they would work well for you. Lots of mummy/zombie stuff. Try to search the forum for Halloween Party Ideas.

I never heard of a zombie party until recently when I was watching Cake Boss and he was making a cake for a zombie party

Here is the link to it on you tube

It might be a cute idea to have a zombie cake. Have fun planning

MUCH Simpler than cake.

to make blood:
high fructose corn syrup
maple syrup
red food coloring

mix about equal parts of high fructose and brown pancake syrup together, and then mix in liquid red food coloring to get the right red color. pouring a little of that on the plate, over the jello would really add to it. if its too thick to pour, put it in the microwave for a few seconds to get it good and runny.
