Hello all.

We're heading down to the World next month for the first time with a baby and are planning on taking our own stroller for DD. We currently have a Graco stroller that was part of the travel system. Its really bulky and cumbersome and I really want to get a lightweight stroller that we can easily fold up and carry on the plane.

I'd really like an umbrella type stroller, but it has to recline so DD can nap in it.

Anyone have any suggestions? TIA!!

Depends how much you want to spend. Maclaren's are good, I just got a Peg Perego Pliko P3. It folds up like an umberella and lays flat. It also has a nice canopy. I love it. I'm using it with my 20 month old, then the new baby will use it in September. Chicco has some nice ones too. Depends which style you look at, all have styles that fold like an umberella. Google online, Albee Baby is also a good site to look at those strollers. Have fun, we too are going in Feb.

I also love our Peg Perrego Pliko P3. It totally rocks!!! I bought it for Disney when my dd was 5 mos old. It has all the benefits of a full size stroller but it is smaller, folds up like an umbrella and weighs FAR less than a full size. I highly recommend it.

I am done recommending the Macs. We have a Mac and love it but it is need of repair. They refuse to send me the part. They require that you send the stroller to one of their service agents for repair. $100 in shipping and $30 for the repair. My $189 will cost over $100 to repair. Ugh. I'd buy a Peg.

I'll recommend a maclaren. We just took our Quest to WDW last month for our 6 month old. It was great! It doesn't have a full recline, but was plenty for DS to nap. They are not cheap, but we got a 2006 color off ebay at a good price. You may want to look at the Chicco C5 is a bit less expensive and still has a recline....it's a bit heavier too.

Thanks for the suggestions. :thumbsup2

We're going to go compare this weekend. I'm leaning toward the Peg Perrego...I have a cousin that has one and she raves about it.

I loved the Chicco capri stroller. It's a high level umbrella stroller, lightweight and folds and opens quickly. cost was around $70 :)

I'm taking my Chicco Capri down next week. Love the stroller in general, much better than my Graco.

Check into the Zooper Hula as well. It is very similar to the Peg but it also comes with cup holder, bug net and rain cover as part of the price when the other brands require you to buy them separately. Good deal.

If you dont mind the $$$$$ the Bugaboo Bee would be my choice.
We have a Bugaboo and thought about getting the Bee too, but thought that we might as well just take the bigger one, yes its bulky for the buses, but the extra room for putting coats etc in / on is great.
