Suggestions for a late (after noon) arrival?

Spring Break Crowds, no special front of the line access card - Monday.

I went ahead and purchased the 3 day ticket (it was $5 more than the 2 day/2park ticket) I wasnt sure what our schedule would be then - now, I figure to use the 3rd day it would be on Monday.

My idea is just to get a good lay of the land - to appreciate the park, wander and gawk at the crowds - make sure we know the right way to get to WWoHP for Tuesday park opening - make sure we find Ollivander's - have a butter beer (hopefully inside 3 Broomstick)

any other hints or tips?

The make up show? or any shows?

If it's raining, that will be the best $5 you ever spent. We went last year during spring break and wandered in the park for the first time at 6 pm after a day of horrible storms. It was just raining by 6 and we had WWOHP all to ourselves!!!

That said definitely head into the park and check out the lay of the land. WW tends to clear out as you get closer to park closing.

If you don't have the express pass or are not staying on site I would at least reserve the last park hour of Monday for IOA. If it's Spring Break I bet they'll close one hour later than Universal, you can enter Harry Potter if you haven't already done that and see how HP looks like at night, and maybe ride FJ and the Hippogriff ride. When you do an early entry, one of those mornings will have to hit Ollivander's first and not FJ so you won't have to wait too long.

If you decide on Universal for that afternoon try the Horror Show or Terminator, check when the last times of the day are so you won't miss those. We also enjoyed the Animal Show. I think last show times are around 5-6-ish(?)
