I have not scrapped since at least October 2002 - yep, you read that right ... 2002! I am so lost with all the new stuff that is out. I even have some of it because I bought it thinking I'd have time to scrap but with buying a house and selling a house last summer I had liitle free time.

I just feel a little lost and thought if there was a good how-to book then I could get back on track. The last new technique I learned was using chalk. So much has changed.

Thanks in advance!!

I wouldn't worry about getting a book... try looking through magazines... CK, Simple Scrapbooks and PaperKuts are a good place to start.

Also, check out twopeasinabucket.com. They have a "gallery" where people post their layouts and you can get lots of great ideas there as well!!

Welcome back!! ;)

I would just clear your calendar and get started!! There is no need to check out the latest techniques. :earsgirl: Just find some photos that you want to scrap and start. I think it is like riding a bicycle :moped: and once you get motivated you will be all set! :wave2:

Good Luck!

there are so many new thing out there. I would go to my lss and walk around. Just look at all the stuff out ther get the feel for what you might want. Then go home and start. once you start on what you have your memory will take you back to the store and then you will know what you need. Have fun.

I'd sign up for a class or two on embellishments at your lss. I learn by "doing" so books with instructions tend to just aggravate me.
My problem isn't HOW to use them, it's WHERE to use them. That's where my magazines come in handy! I can scraplift all those ideas.:teeth:
When I've taken long breaks between scrapping I have a hard time getting back into it. A crop with friends usually gets me going again.

I too am just getting back into it. I look around in Michaels and AC Moore and am just so overwhelmed and clueless about what your supposed to do with all those little eyelet things and all those other little metal things. And why do you need a hammer and other tools for scrapping? What am I missing? The last "new" thing I purchased was a Zyron when the 510 came out. Yeah I know I'm definitely behind the times. But I'm sure someone on the boards can enlighten me and get me up to date.
