So we are taking our sweet DGS to Universal for the day, we will not be doing like a full day more like cruising around and when he starts to get tired head out of the park ... my DBIL works there so he gets us tickets from time to time... We will have park hoppers for the day...

He is a pretty adventurous kid... and does well on most rides at WDW... nothing to wild or scary though.

So any tips, rides, shows, suggestion would be very much appreciated...

Thanks in advance... :thanks:

It depends on how tall he is. But not paying attention to that, I'd suggest Minions if he likes Minions, first thing if you can get there when the park first opens, as typically the wait can get long. I know you said it's not a full day, but if you can choose morning, or later in the day, first thing in the morning might be best if you'd want to do this option. Especially since I do not know what time of the year you're going, but weather is better in the morning than what it'd be at 2pm in the afternoon typically regardless of what time of the year it is.

While I'd say the KidZone would be the place for the little one, I personally think besides ET, you should really focus on exploring the WWoHP portion, as DA and Hogsmeade is purely magical. And I'm pretty sure regardless of height would be able to ride HE over to IoA.

In IOA, May I also suggest the Jurassic Park has a play area, he might Love. It has caves and paths to explore. And also Suess Landings

The studios also has a play area.

I don't know if it's normal but we ran into a ton of super heros wandering the streets around the Spiderman ride which was really cool. It was around 10 am. My son loved the superman ride at 4. He also loved the Transformers version of the ride and made a wait to meet all of the Transformers. The Jurassic Park play area was a huge hit.

The whole Dr. Seuss area might be a hit. As said above, the two play areas are supposed to be fantastic for kids. If it's a warm day, the water rides (Dudley Do Right, etc) might be fun. Or: you can squirt water on the hapless riders from the sides!

The meet and greets are much longer and MUCH more mellow at Universal. Spend some time meeting all your favorite characters! A little one might like the parades and the Blues Brothers show, the Frog Choir and puppet shows at Wizarding World.

Rixflix has a video on YouTube with the best rides for kids :) I liked the ball park and Seussland when my DS was 2.5.
