DH and I are going to WDW, staying at BC for 8 days in September. We've been many times. This will be our second adults only trip. I am looking for some different types of things to do this trip that we haven't done before. Any suggestions? Right now I am planning on the Marceline to MK tour and Flying Fish Chef's Table.

DH asked me to "change it up a bit" after our family December trip cause he's a little tired of just parks. For our next empty nester couple trip I'm planning to add an outing for him: maybe bass fishing in the lagoon while I do something for myself; considering a behind the scenes at AK too. For sure we'll do Circus Sole (excuse my spelling) and hit the Boardwalk for a day and enjoy some nightlife there too. We'll double down on EPCOT to explore the countries at a deeper level. I'd like to eat at the GF again and do the after-park dining experience in Mexico. I also get prompts on special dining events through our TIW card, so maybe one of those will make it on the agenda. We'll be celebrating #32

Our last trip was a celebration of our 27th anniversary!

What types of things are you interested in? We've found that we like doing the little out of the way stuff. We have a wonderful time playing miniature golf. Making the putt means a kiss for your anniversary! There's also Splittsville for some bowling and fun. House of Blues at DTD could be nice if there's live music that night.

A new favorite is the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. They have some wonderful Italian wines, delicious small plates of cheese, meatballs, etc. Or you can order from Tutto Italia. Just ask to sit away from the front door. It's nice and dark in there, but they keep the front door open so unless you go after sundown, you'll have sunshine in your face. On our last trip, we got out about an hour before Illuminations and then hung out to see it.

We also loved Tokyo Dining, but we love Japanese culture so we went all out. We learned what to say before or after a meal in Japanese and engaged our server throughout the meal. We tried warm sake for the first time and are hooked!

We celebrated all week with toasts and kisses. We took plenty of kissing photos at the major landmarks throughout the trip. Great memories.

We're already booked next year for our 28th! (and Thanksgiving).

We honeymooned there and have been adults only since (until next trip when our twins will be born). There is tons for adults depending on your interests. Dine with an imagineer was fun as well as the tours. Keys to the Kingdom, Undiscovered and the Trek being are favorites in each park. The balloon at DTD was also unique.

We went just adults only for our 25th also.

I booked an IllumiNations cruise and decided to hang out at the resort a lot more than usual. It was the most relaxing trip we've ever done.

I would also suggest a few signature restaurants like Artist Point or Jiko's, both very romantic places. Or if not on the dining plan then Shulas.

They also have carriage rides at the Fort and I think PORS.

Victoria & Alberts is something I would classify not as romantic, but certainly as a dining experience. I've had many more romantic meals across the resorts and parks, but the meal at V&A was an experience I won't soon forget.
If it cost $100 more or $55 less my opinion would not change. Cost was irrelevant in my experience.

How can anyone answer you if we don't know what you have done before? You say that you have been many times. We could suggest things like Victoria & Albert's, a Fireworks Cruise on a boat, and stuff like that, and you might come back and tell us that you have already done all that. How are we to know?

I don't have any suggestions, but it sounds lovely, great choice of resort. Such a perfect location for a couples-only trip.

I hope you have a great trip and congratulations on your anniversary! :goodvibes

How can she write everything she has possibly done before? Should she write a list of every restaurant and experience they have ever done at WDW?

I think she was just looking for suggestions to see if there was something special others had done that they enjoyed for their anniversary trips.

We could at least get an idea of the types of things she has done (or not done) before that would likely come up in people's posts. Something like: "We have eaten at most of the Signature restaurants" or "We haven't been to many of the Signature restaurants." Not that hard. Right now, it is a blank slate.

I appreciate all of them. I are several things you all mentioned that I will investigate further. And some I'd never heard of like Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar or the DTD balloon.

Minature golf we never got around to last time, so I think it's going to go on my list again.

I like the idea of getting pictures of kisses in different spots :)

For those who are wondering what we've done in the past....Although we've been many times, probably the thing we've done most is rides (some rides we've ridden several dozen times--to the point where dh is like why are we riding this again??) and quite a few character meals. We did Pleasure Island (Adventurer's Club--wish it were there still). We did Disney Quest twice when it first opened (when you got tickets for prizes)--not sure how its held up and if it will be as much fun for two adults without children.

Anyway, other than our favorite rides or new rides, rides will not be our focus this trip. So,

On our most recent trip, --outside the parks--we did Jelly Rolls and Cirque du Soleil. Although we didn't time Jelly Rolls right and ended up having to leave just when things were livening up, so that is on our list to do again. We also visited Raglan Road and saw a bit of the dancing and music (loved their bread pudding). Some things we enjoyed last time were watching different entertainment in DTD (musicians and living statues) and around world showcase (like Japanese candy maker, Canadian music group). So, any tips about how to catch the diff. performances etc.

Have never been on any tours (except a Peter Pan one about 20 years ago) or to any of the water parks, both of which we want to do this year.

We haven't eaten at any signature restaurants except LeCellier at lunch. So, those are definitely something we want to explore this time too.

Anyway, hope that helps you help me :) Thank you for all who take time to respond :)

Lisa
