I will be in Orlando next week, hoping that Hurricane Dean will be kind:scared: I know that it rains alot in Florida this time of year with shower bursts here and there and that it will be very warm. Anyway, for this trip I won't be going into the parks but I am looking to do some other activities within Florida.

Some of the ideas that I have come across were driving down to Vero Beach for a day (weather permitting), perhaps Busch Gardens. But I am curious to know what others have suggested: Other ideas were Medieval Times. Disney Quest is automatic but then again I have gone there so many times. And I have seen Cirque Du Soleil. What about Kennedy Space Center? Or Ripleys Musuem? I'll have teenagers with me as well as another adult.

Suggestions greatly appreciated:goodvibes

A few more not-theme-park suggestions:
Lake Louisa State Park
Lakeridge Winery
Bok Tower
Airboat ride

I have to say that BG's is beautiful. Something there for every one.

My guys love Gator Land. Not my favorite personally but my DH and DC love it.

The guys also loved Old Town for the car night and bike night. I think it is a testosterone thing again not my favorite but the shops kept me interested.

Most of my suggestions revolve around food, but here goes:

Dixie Stampede is fun - I haven't been to the one in Orlando, but have been to the one in Myrtle Beach.

Also, the Millenia mall was nice (be sure to eat at the Cheesecake Factory!)

Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville would be another fun dinner place.

I thought Celebration was kind of fun to walk around - we ate at the Columbia's which I really enjoyed.

We are nature lover and are here in Clermont now. We took a week offsite to see natural Florida. We have done the following:-

Boggy Creek airboat rides
Cocoa Beach
Homosassa state park
Wekiva Springs
Today - Siesta Key

I would highly recommend any of these. Boggy Creek is the shortest time and distance, but not the best value.

I love the coasters, Bok Tower, Airboat, Lakeridge Winery, Bush Garden & BG's is beautiful. I like these a lot. So i would like to reccommend u that u can look in to the Bush Garden u love it a lot.
