Suggestion re: paid extra content

just a suggestion regarding the upcoming paid bonus content.
I think you may get more people to subscribe if you give a 1-2 video "free preview" of the type of stuff that will be available as the bonus content.
I love all of the podcasts, but very rarely do I watch the videos because I mostly listen via iTunes in my car. So for others that don't watch and only listen, it may be a nice incentive to get to find out what they are paying for, to entice them to sign up.
Like I said, just a suggestion. I completely understand needing to offset costs. And I truly appreciate that we are not losing anything that is already available for free!

Good point. If it's video-only, then I wouldn't be interested in the bonus content. However, I realize that the money isn't really to pay for the bonus content. It's to help support everything they already do. So from that point of view, it doesn't really matter what the bonus content is.

It's basically the same as supporting public television. You donate $100 and they give you some token gift that is worth far, far less than $100, but you don't donate to get the gift. You donate to support the cause.

I fully support what they are doing. I'll gladly give something every month to help keep the Dis making the amazing content they are producing.

At first I said no way I would ever subscribe, I'm up to my ears in Disney content!! But then considered if they had say certain people like Kylie, or brought back Dustin and made his second show a subscription one, well now I'm VERY tempted.
(I don't think Dustin would come back, I was just using that example of what I'm intereted in paying for. Since he left on such good terms, it seems okay to say.)

The point is they are not selling the bonus content. They are not starting a subscription service. They are looking for supporters and will produce some bonus content to thank those who lend their support. Those are two very different things.

During Tuesdays show live I saw over 800 viewers at one time. If they charged $.50 to view live and comment I'd pay. The comments are my favorite part actually.

btw, I apologize if it was my comment that made @Ryno crack up and lose it. I think I saw anger in Pete's eyes at that moment. I can't remember what I said so I have to re-watch it.

I'm just now getting to watch the podcast. But I started laughing out loud when Pete was talking about this. I am SOOO addicted to these people and Disney. All I could think of was, "The first hit is free, the next will cost you!" Of course I'm going to pay for more content coming out of this studio! That's the definition of an ADDICT!

Oh! I love the studio, I hope not I think it's adorable when Abby interrupts the podcast!
But I guess it makes it hard to host guests and interviews without opening your home to a myriad of strangers.

I actually agree! I would really like to see Abby on camera, but I imagine she would have limited input. (I get my dog fix however I am able!)

You have mentioned this once before, and I meant to reply. No one has to watch every video, read every blog, participate in every function, etc. I don't think having a lot of content is a bad thing. Pick and choose what you'd like to enjoy.

No I don't think it's a bad thing either. I just didn't understand the deprived sentiment in the other thread, I was like... I feel anything but deprived of Disney content.

There are many fans who watch everything the Dis puts out regardless if Disney or UO is mentioned. Free Form Fridays were a huge hit and need to return.
