Hi

We will be arriving to the hotel on Sunday around lunch time. We are staying at the Music Value resort.

I want to try something new outside the parks. We have a 3 yr old and a baby.

Where to go to lunch or dinner that Sunday?

Thanks

To be honest, I like the food courts at the values and little kids do too! Could you have lunch there and maybe head over to AKL to explore that resort? You could eat there as well for dinner then. Will you have a car? Even though the busses run to DTD, sometimes they take a long time, but another option is to head there for the afternoon. Many like Boatwrights at POR, and then you could boat from there to DTD. There are a ton of options, what ype of palce are you looking for? Quick or sit-down....atmosphere?

I like your ideas. Thanks. I want to take time and explore the other resorts as well. We go often but always in a rush..lol.

I want to go see the decorations at the Grand Floridian as well.

Now back to the food post..lol

I don't have any preference but a sit down and relax sounds good. Maybe I can try BOMA for dinner but I was hoping to make it an early night to wake up the little one early to heat to the park on Monday. We are going to AK. Do you think it would be best to make a reservation for BOMA on Monday after the park? We might be dead tired.

So many choices so little time. We are going to be there until Thursday.

Thanks a lot.

If the GF is on your list to see, you could book a very nice lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe, or if you REALLY want to try for the character dinner at 1900 Park Fare. You could maybe try for an early seating of 5 or so, and get back to ASMU at a decent time. Go to ALLEARS.NET and check out menus etc.

Thanks so much. I didn't know about the Character dinner at 1900. I am checking on those now.

Ok the 1900 won't work my boy is not into Alice..maybe in the future when our little girl grows up...;)

What's a better choice the Donald breakfast at AK or Ohana's breakfast? Never been to either of those.

Thanks

Outside the parks or off property?

Outside the parks, go to Downtown Disney. Wolfgang puck express CS, Earl of Sandwich CS, Rainforest Cafe (can get a little loud but we have taken a little one there with no problem at all), T-Rex also can get a little loud but still fun.
Plus, DTD has a big lego play area, ground level water fountains to run through, a BIGGGG toy store with lots of stuff to play with, and lots of really fun stuff to look at. Oh, they also have a small carrosel and a little choo choo train to ride in addtion to a lot of other fun stuff.

Off-property...just past DTD area is a shopping center called the Crossroads. There is a Chevy's restaurant there. It is a chain but everything is fresh made and very good quality. It is very kid friendly. They give out balloons, but in the evening they have a guy come around to the tables who makes balloon animals for you if you want.

If you're planning to be in Animal Kingdom, then Donald's at Tusker House sould be best. WE have not tried it. Had the 'Ohana breakfast when Lilo and Stitch first came on board and it was very good, but we were staying at the Poly so it was convenient.

Great choice for 1st night dining of course Chef Mickey's it gets you in a disney mood. For something calmer I would suggest GF Cafe. We have not been to the Tusker House Breakfast but we have done Ohana & it is nice it is family style, which is nice with lttle ones. And the kids go crazy for Stitich.
