Hi all!
I am looking for a suggestion for dinner (time and place) before we see La Nouba at 9pm. We have to be in our seat by 830 pm
We are travelling with a 9 yr old and 7 yr old, and the 2 of us.

Would you eat somewhere in Downtown Disney, at our resort or would you eat out somewhere else?

We are staying at the Grand Floridian and already have an ADR for 1900 Park Fare on a different day.

Any thoughts? I have to admit that there is nothing sticking out at me for Downtown Disney and would appreciate any input!

Photonut,

Are you looking for a TS or just a "bite"? You might want to try something like Earl of Sandwich and do a little shopping at the Marketplace. That way your children wouldn't be sitting through dinner and then sitting through a long show.

You could take the bus to DD and get dropped off at the Marketplace, shop and dine and then catch the ferry over to the Westside. When are you going? Be sure to check that the ferry is running. It saves a lot of steps!

There are some great choices in DTD near La Nouba. My first choice would be House of Blues -- they have an eclectic menu with something to satisfy just about everyone. But beware the appetizers -- they are often enough for a meal. When we eat there, we make sure we are truly hungry.

Bongo's is great if you want a real change of pace -- Cuban cuisine that is very good. Wonderful smells and even better tastes.

Then, of course, there's Wolfgang Pucks! For us the choice is always hard and you can't go wrong with any of these. They are all close to La Nouba.

Earl of Sandwich is great for something casual...best Tuna Melt I ever had!! :earsgirl:
We ate at Wolfgang Puck Cafe when we did Cirque...the food was great
and service was beyond excellent!!! :earsgirl:

I'm glad to see someone else is taking their kids to the 9:00 show. We have DD9 and DS5. I think they will be fine, especially w/ a sit down dinner. They are night owls and we will sleep in the next day.

We are eating at O'hana, I think. We will be at AK that day and it just kind of seemed on the way. We also thought about House of Blues, we ate at the one in Myrtle Beach and it was really good.

Have fun!! :sunny:

Thanks for the great advice! I hadn't thought about making the kids sit through a meal and then through the show....I like the idea of Earl of Sandwich and a little shopping....can have the purchases sent back to the room so we don't have to carry them to La Nouba with us!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Tuna Melts.....Sounds like this is the winner!

Just be aware that the Earl of Sandwich is the other side of DTD - past Pin Traders. It's quite a hike. I would personally opt for the House of Blues.

we got pizza at market place wolfgang express and it was very good plus left room for popcorn!

Wolfgang Puck's is good. We have one only minutes from home but DF still insists on going there at WDW. :rotfl:
