Hi everyone! Can you guys give me suggested tipping guidelines for our upcoming stay at RPR in mid-December? We are staying club level, so that will make a difference and also, there are 5 of us if that matters. :-)

I had the same question so I asked the front desk during check in. (Stayed club level Aug. 20th to Aug. 25th.) Front desk told me club level personnel are not allowed to accept tips because the guest is already paying extra for the services at the club. None the less felt that was not the norm. When we arrived at the club room that night I looked around the Club to see if anyone was leaving anything. Nope, no one left anything. While my family of three was leaving the club room for the evening I slipped a tenner into one guy's hand. I did this every evening after drinks, Cokes for my family since we really don't drink. This worked well until the last night when I tried that with a female club employee who promptly told me that they could not accept tips.
Just to add my whole family loved club level and will definitely do it again.

We were there for a week in June. We did tip and everyone graciously accepted.

I know my husband gave a few dollars each morning to the person who gave us bottled water to go.

We tipped each evening...I think he gave $5 each night.

All of the employees were wonderful. One night one of the guys went downstairs to get cereal for my son who didn't like the choices.

We also tipped housekeeping twice a day, since we had turn down service.

Thank you. I didn't think about turndown .we also plan to ask for water to take out, glad to know its not a problem. .so I guess we can offer a tip and see what happens although I have packed small bags of thorntons toffee and boxes of Maltesers for thank you's.

Interesting. I was at a Harry Potter conference at PBH in the summer of 2012. On the last day of my trip, I gave an envelope (with a cash tip) to the Club Level staff. I think I included a note asking them to split it with the staff who had been working all week. I was in and out of the lounge all the time, wearing a Ravenclaw robe, so I stood out. They didn't open the envelope in front of me, but they must have known what was in it, and they certainly didn't turn it down.

last october i either gave the money to the TM that helped me or put the money in tip box that was on the desk at club.

i go solo and don't do the breakfast period.
out of 10 nights there, did the club lounge for afternoon coffee and a few evenings.

i always left $5 when i left each time.

in the past 5 years, did club 4 times solo and would give $5 a day as a tip.
would give $10 if i had a bourban.

In june, there wasn't a tip box out, so my dh would just hand it to the person who helped us.

things change all the time.

i'm not surprised.

did they have the note of time limit on the computers back in June when you went?
