Does anyone have pictures of the stuff from The Lorax in Suessland (the trees, I know were there - I may have missed something else? We didn't really do Suessland when we were there.)? I'm reading it to my students Friday and would love to put a picture up in the room. I saw them when we were there and went to take a picture and then my group sidetracked me and I never got around to the picture. Anyone willing to share? Thanks!

Thank you! They love pictures of things we're studying when I've been there.

You're welcome.... I tried.... Wasn't sure exactly what you were looking for, but I understand the "visual" interest of things you're studying. When DS8 starts to study government, we plan to take him to Washington DC and New York and such.... I think it will add a LOT to the learning experience. I know I would have been more interested to actually SEE the stuff I was learning about ;)

No, those are perfect! I have pictures of castles for when we study the middle ages from when I went on a castle tour in France and from the Tower of London and they are amazed by the pictures and the fact that I was there. It helps them see me as a real person, you know? I really appreciate it.

DC and New York sounds like fun for studying government. Be sure to check out the National Archives, if you've never been, and see the Declaration of Independence and things. (And watch National Treasure before you go!)
