From a past post it appears everyone recommends purchasing nunchuks and remotes for each family member - so do I get the wireless ones or the others. Do I have to get the sports pack (the console came with Wii Sports)? Anything else I should know???

You do not have to get the sports pack unless you just want it. We bought one extra wireless remote and one extra nunchuck. There are three of us here and we often have guests. We just share the remotes. I guess you could play four person tennis with four remotes, but we've never had the desire to do that. For anything else that we have, you only need two remotes at one time and can share.

We do have the steering wheels that come with mariokart wii (and an extra one) and we really like those. Most people don't but they work great for us.

It really depends on the size of your family, the games you expect to play, etc.

I have four remotes and two nunchucks. However, we very rarely use the second nunchuck. And about the only time we use a nunchuk at all is for Mario Galaxy and Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Mostly we play the Sports Pack (Bowling, etc.) or Boom Blox which is an incredibly addicting game for all ages!! I highly recommend it.

Back to the remotes - if you don't want to spend $120 for three extra remotes right off the bat, get one extra and see how it goes. You can always add more controllers, remotes or nunchucks as the need arises.
