Notice I said "successful dieters", not "Chronic dieters"
Anyways, I'm needing to drop about 10 pounds for the first time in my life-I'm 45, had gall bladder surgery recently and have gained some weight since then.
What foods do you keep on hand to eat that won't pack on the pounds? What foods have you eliminated? How do you satisfy your sweet cravings?
What do you think has had the biggest impact on your weight loss success ?(besides excercise)

For some people it works to eat healthy 6 days a week and allow a "cheat day" one day a week and some find that they do better if they do well all day then they allow themselves a small treat at the end of each day. And for some it might be to allow yourself a couple of "cheat meals" during the week. It really is a personal thing and depends on what works well for you. I also find that keeping a daily food journal helps to see when and what I am eating. I use Fitday.com but there are many others out there. Also on having treats, cheat meals or even cheat days you do need to watch your calorie intake so you don't go totally wild on those cheat meals. If I am having a treat I make sure to include it in my daily calorie allowance.
