Success with Timeshare Rentals?

Has anyone used a timeshare rental for their Disney vacation? How did you find it? Did you use a website?

We use www.vacationtimesharerentals.com all the time and have never had a problem. I always use paypal to pay for the rentals also.

We have done it twice through redweek.com, and once when we bought a week on skyauction. All of these occasions were absolutely great and we had great accomodations at a deeply discounted price (versus traditional accomodations).

If you work through reputable outlets...it painless and the upside is tremendous

Where have you stayed? I've done Vistana and Bahama Bay before (I prefer condos off-site)... but no experience with other places.

Though we own a couple of (non-Orlando) timeshare weeks, I've used www.redweek.com and the classifieds at www.tug2.net - timeshare users group forum - and had great success several times. We've stayed at Vistana Resort, Hilton Grand Vacation Club SeaWorld, and Orange Lake Country Club (twice) by renting from owners - our other timeshare stays in the Disney area have been exchanges. [We've also rented an Aruba Marriott week from an owner.]
I've found renting timeshares to be a risk-free experience, much like rental a condo or house in the area, but getting more in the way of amenities.
