I made lifetime August 2004 -- lost 130 lbs. Started in November 2002 and we go to Disney 3-4 times per year. I've never been able to actually count points, but I use what I learned to eat healthy and usually come back about one or two pounds up, which is always gone and then some the next weigh-in (I think it's mostly due to the excess salt -- I'm not used to it).
I make sure I get my veggies and water and do lots of walking and swimming. I aim for healthy breakfast (egg beaters, fruit, wheat toast with just jelly -- I avoid pancakes, french toast, etc.) and lunches (mostly salads with dressing on the side), then splurge on dinner (usually stick with fish, seafood, chicken, turkey, because I prefer those anyway, but I get what I want and aim to only eat half -- or, if an appetizer stikes me as the best thing on the menu, I'll get an app. with a side of veggies or a salad).
That said, I also give myself a treat every day. I HAVE to have a Dole Whip on every trip, and I'd rather have creme brulee than dinner! I try to share with DH, but sometimes he just doesn't like what I want so on those nights, again, I TRY to only eat half (and succeed about half the time).
