Success showing up early?

I have a reservation for 9 am at topolinos in a few weeks. I’ve been trying to move it earlier but, as expected, nothing is available. My family is torn between wanting to keep the reservation and wanting to get to the parks earlier (we are doing Epcot that day) to get a head start on the day. Has anyone had success at topolinos showing up before your reservation and getting sat early? Is it worth it to go over there at like 8 and just hang out for a while?

Honestly... we've eaten there several times and 100% of the time they were running behind. We waited 45 minutes the last time (it was brutal in that tiny waiting area). I think the odds are slim, but if you don't mind wandering the hotel for an hour it might be worth the shot. You never know! I just wouldn't count on it.

(also check repeatedly the night before - we snag almost every breakfast reservation there the night before and there are usually multiple options)

You can try, but I wouldn't expect to be able to be seated early.
Keep checking as things change, especially the day before.

I think they say on the reservations (at least some reservations) that you may not check in more than 15 minutes early
