Substitions for sides allowed?

I'm going thru the menus and am wondering if the different restaurants allow substitutions on their sides, such as at Le Cellier, if I ordered the pork chop and wanted the mashed potatoes instead of the cabbage will they allow that? Or, would I be required to purchase an additional side?

We have frequently substituted sides at WDW restaurants. DH is a relatively picky eater. He often finds one side he feels comfortable with (plain potatoes) and will ask to have them substituted. It has never been a problem as long as it was one item on the menu for another item on the menu.
I have not substituted the exact example you asked.

We've never had a problem, but I suppose your waiter would be the one to ask.

As long as your are asking to substitute something of like value (i.e., veggie for a veggie) I can't believe that you'd have any problem. I have a picky person in our little group and it's never been a problem.:wizard:

DS did this several times at several restaurants--never a problem.

Thanks for your replies, everyone! I know here at home, it's never a problem. I just didn't know if at Disney, especially with the DDP and all the people they serve, if they wouldn't allow it, and I could'nt remember from our previous trips:confused:

So, thanks again everyone.

We have substituted the side that comes with the dishes at LeCellier for another side. They didn't have an issue with it at all. We were not on the DDP.
