Subscribing on iPad?

Forgive me if this has been asked a thousand times. Is there a way to subscribe to the podcast on the iPad? I understand how to do it on iTunes on my computer, but I don't want to bother with all the syncing. I can't seem to figure it out in iTunes for iPad. Are there any apps, etc. that will let the subscription go through without syncing to the PC? If not, it's not too bothersome to download individually, but it would be nice to have them automatically. Thanks in advance!

I do not believe that the iPad or iPhone have the ability to subscribe or autoupdate podcasts. The only way to subscribe is through iTunes.

You can download individual podcast episodes through the iTunes store, though.

I haven't tried it but I saw some mention of a $.99 app called "Podcaster" which looks like it would do what you want. I didn't get it because it appears to play back the podcasts using something other than iTunes (I could be wrong about this) and I sync with iTunes too often to make this worthwhile for me. If you don't sync with iTunes, you might give it a try.

I use Podcaster when I'm on trips and don't want to bring my laptop with me. You listen to the Podcasts through Podcaster, not iTunes, but it does work really well for me. When I get back home, I just delete the podcasts I've already heard off of iTunes. Ideal? No, but it's a decent workaround, and for $0.99, well worth the cost for me.
