Hi! So, I'm looking into renting a home for our next trip -- if SIL & family can join us. I've seen a couple of subdivisions I like (from posts and internet research but no personal experience) - Windsor Hills & Emerald Island.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a map of the subdivisions (or any others). What I would very much like is to know a little more about where the home is in relation to the subdivision before we rent.

I'd really hate to get a home that we had to do something like:
leave world drive & turn right
turn left onto blah street
turn right into subdivision
and then...
turn left, turn 2nd right, go to end of the block, turn left, turn right, turn 3rd right, turn left and there it is, the 12th house on the left.

eek.

I'd much rather once the turn to the subdivision is made it is more like --

take the 1st left and it's the 5th house on your right.

:)

I know I know weird request right?

But if i could minimize the frustration of the drive to and from the parks that would be great. And I KNOW that a house "buried" in a subdivision would frustrate me. As would having to turn left onto 192 without a light on the way TO the parks. So it would be good to know if the subdivsion would cause me to have to do that. Coming home from the parks not as big a deal ;) :moped:

Thanks in advance!

www.villas2000.com - have a basic community map that shows you roughly where the developments are located, both you mention are ideally situated.

I think the only way you are going to get precise directions is after you have contacted or booked with an owner.

If you want a smaller Resort. You might want to look at the new resort - Solana Resort. It is built by the same builders as Emerald Island, same concept, just a smaller resort.

We own our vacation home there and it is a beautiful resort.

Check out the website at solana-resort.com

There is also a forum, where you can talk to the owners, if you have any questions.

Here is a site plan of emerald island resort. If you find any home you are interested in you can ask where it is located. As a home owner I do not give my exact address out. I am sure if there is specific questions they would be able to answer you.

Hope you find what you are looking for. If you are interested I have pics of EIR on my web site it gives you an idea of what the resort has as amenities and landscape.

If you have problems with directions there is a guard at the entrance to EI that will be able to point you in the right direction every time. Also there are some great homes if you are interested in EI here is the web site that gives you many homes to choose from.

To get from EI to Disney the directions are very simple.
Turn right onto Funie dStead rd upon leaving EI.
At stop sign turn left onto Formosa gardens blvd
At red light take right onto 192
At first light turn left onto entry point blvd.
Not sure if that is easy enough?
Any other questions you can pm me if you like, if I can not answer I will find some one who would. isla bonita

Thank you all for the information! And for not laughing at my questions. :flower:

Y'all are the best!

I will be checking out those sites today.

If you don't mind doing a bit of cross referencing then use google maps

http://maps.google.com/
and
http://www.kissimmee-us192.com/map/ushwy192mapindex.htm

with the 192 map you can find a sub division and with google maps you can zoom in on the road layout.
As a starting point for google type in 33897 which is the zip for the area west of Disney move until the map is at the us27 /192 junction and work your way east.
If you need help just ask .

Ah yes that is a good map -not 100% up to date as they build new sub divisions so quickly but non the less still good.

The map seems to be be updated as Solana is on there and that is probably one of the newest Resorts. At this time, anyway.

It is a very good map. Thanks Jannyans.
