Hi there,

Im looking for some feedback on STVS Video, they have sent me their prices and I am very impressed.

We are getting married in WP followed by reception and Living seas epcot and DP, I understand they cant film in Epcot so would only be able to film our ceremony - which I would be ok with!

We will probably be going with the Disney Photo package so we will have a Disney Photographer with us. Has anyone done their wedding this way and how did it work?

Would love some feedback on this

Thanks

I do not have any advice other than I am inerested in this as well. Would you mind telling me what the price range is with them? We are having a Memories wedding just the two of us, so I was interested in the webcasting..and wondering about how much there packages run.

we haven't recieved our final product yet but i am very glad we added the video package - i wasn't so keen on having a dvd, but after we had some friends and family not be able to go, we added it on. both bonnie and stan were very helpful and flexible, quick with contact. the first time i talked to stan on the phone, to be honest, i felt a little bit - not pressured - but i felt he was looking for a decision or kind of emphasizing that we would regret not doing this. important to note - i am extremely weird about talking to people on the phone to begin with, so i think this was mostly on me!

we did most of our business via email and paypal. we didn't really touch base before we left for florida, and stan was there filming away when we arrived for the wedding. our sneak peek looks very good! we should have our stuff within the next month....

we added the webcast - what with family who couldn't be there and being podcasters ourselves - and that was awesome!! it was a ~$75 add on to our package. it went well, noone had any trouble. at least 50 people watched it without difficulty.

so i really recommend him!

Hi.....we used Stan as well. I agree that his prices are really fantastic. I looked at countless sneak peek videos from his site before we decided to go with him.
He and his wife Bonnie are really friendly and accommodating and will work with you on packages. We also used Randy as our Photographer and when you use them together Stan gives you a discount on his package, but I don't remember how much that was.

We had him for getting ready, the Ceremony at the WP, the first hour of our reception (he got each of our guests on camera talking to us without our knowing :3dglasses), then he came back that night for our Sago Cay dessert party.

One selling point with my DH was that he, and I, have always wanted to go to Club 33 in Disneyland and Stan owns a membership. He gives all of his couples access to book there whenever they want.

We should be getting our full DVD/ Blu-Ray soon but we did get the sneak peek which includes us talking about our experience. He filmed us on the catwalk of California Grill outside of the Napa Room where our reception is.

Here is the link from his facebook page which includes others as well...

Ours is the 4th one down

As a sidenote, he was super helpful before, during and after everything was going on. He helped my son get ready, helped our guests make it to the GF to the Contemporary via Monorail, gave me advice to tell me guests to start eating at the Dessert Party (we wouldn't have had much time if he didn't do this), also he and Randy escorted us down to Sago Cay from Whitehall Room because Disney didn't "clearly" tell us what to do. He really helped make everything special and not a headache for me and DH to worry about on our wedding day. :wizard:

Thanks so much for the replies,

Im really thinking of going with this, the only thing im not too sure about is how do they go about filming in the pavillion? As disney have hidden cameras you are not aware of them but with this company were you aware of video cameras around you? It may get a bit busy with photographer and videographer?

I realise this is a silly question!

Thanks

I can honestly say that I never noticed Stan or our photographer Randy. You would think they would stand out buy they are so professional and wear inconspicuous clothing which helps. I don't know how this is possible but I never even realized he was near the front until I saw him in a few pictures, lol. If you are like most brides you will be in the "Wedding Fog" daze as you walk down the aisle and things like a videographer will not even catch your eye.

I totally agree, Stan was great, we hardly ever noticed him at all. Our wedding was in the AAR and not the wedding pavilion. I don't remember seeing the cameras at all during the entire service. Even prior to the wedding while in the world showcase taking pictures Stan stood out of the way and got some amazing shots while Randy Chapman was doing our photos. I was super happy with the final product and he worked with us to get it back in time for our at-home reception. We bought the HD package which was definitely worth the extra cost too.

I know this is an old thread but for anyone considering STVS, I wanted to throw in my 2 cents. We used both Randy Chapman for photos and Stan of STVS and couldn't have been more delighted with either of them. The video in particular was just perfect. I loved the short montage he did and the memories he was able to capture are treasured. Both Randy and Stan were very professional and stayed in the background - I hardly knew they were there! Stan made me feel like a princess and added some extra special surprise touches that makes looking at my video fun even after 8 1/2 years. When considering the cost and possibly not having video, consider this: 8 months after our wedding, my husband was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease and had to undergo chemo and radiation. He is fine (thank God!) but during those hard times I more than treasured my video where I could see my husband preparing for our wedding and see the few words he said special for me on camera. Photos are nice, but no photo can capture that memory the way video can and STVS caught every beautiful moment. I cannot tell you how THRILLED I was and want everyone here to know you can trust Stan and his lovely wife with your most special day. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask (post or PM me) and I'll be happy to do my best to answer them.
