stupid thoughts but what is the shortest

having just been frustrated again... outbid in the last nine seconds...what is the short time you were outbid on an auction? Or what is the most frustrating auction experience you have had?

outbid in the last 2 seconds - by 1 cent! (keep repeating - it will show up again, it will show up again, it will show up again.) Then eat someting chocolate.

The most frustarting has only been waiting for the pin/item to arrive. Every now and then I have to e-mail reminders -- but not often. Haven't been burned from an auction yet.
The only time someone kept trying to outbid me (by a few cents also) I was lucky enough it was a Yahoo Auction and the seller had automatic extensions on it. I'm so glad when sellers have that. That way if others wait to outbid in that last few minutes, you still have more opportunities to re-bid.

If you are auctioning on something at an auction site that allows you to bid high, I really recommend bidding as much as you are willing to pay ahead of time and then if someone outbids you, then they obviously wanted it more than you did. I got tired of babysitting bids quite some time ago and getting frustrated because someone was outbidding me and I also got in trouble with dh when I bid much more than I should have on something because I got into the excietement of the moment. I know it is tempting to sit there and really try to get something, but I find that if I always bid my highest and then let it go if it goes above that, I save myself frustration and my checkbook overdrawing LOL!! And there *will* be another one, right? I keep saying, "One day this fad will fade and I can collect all these really cool pins cheap!" LOL!!

I hate it when that happens!! I have been outbid numerous times in the last 10 seconds.

I always bid my max but sometimes the heat of the auction gets the better of me. I can honestly say I have overpaid for a few pins Guess they make up for the bargains I have found.
