A) You are now red-flame colored
B) The kids are singing "Fly Me To The Moon" at the top of their lungs
C) Your eyes are watering and your nose is dripping - and well...... you're just plain tripping!
Doesn't sound like the greatest idea to me. Is there enough ventilation in the classroom? I can't even imagine the paint that must be flying all over and sticking to stuff in there.
LOL, JTB. Can we say "ungodly mess?" "Toxic fumes?" "Chemical irritation to eyes/nose/skin"? "Irrate parents with kids coated in paint"? "Ventilation issues"?
And doesn't spray paint ALWAYS say "Use only in well ventilated areas"???
On another teacher rant (sorry, I REALLY DO like teachers; it's just DS's second grade teacher gets on my nerves; she did when our daughter had her as well):
DS brings home his report card. He gets "S" = satisfactory; "I" = needs improvement
Two areas are "Works well with others" Grade "I". "Works well independently" Grade "I" -- ????? So, does he not work AT ALL???
That's just not right. I got carded the last time I bought spray paint. Kids are only supposed to use under responsible adult supervision, and that means outdoors or in some other well-ventilated area.
Yikes! 2nd graders spray painting indoors?? Be prepared for the sure to come parental complaints. I hope those "walls" covered the fumes for your students.
JTB...you are in an openspace school too???? Do you have pod so you can stand in the middle and see into about 4 classes at oone time??? THose great 1970's school, make you think what drug were they on at the time
Actually, that class is 6th grade. In fact, she just got her Masters and is an Administrative Intern at our school. If she gets a principalship there, I am finding a new school. I think she can't and somehow she manages to top herself.
Wow, I used to teach in one of those "open" styled schools with no doors and three walls! I'm sure the fumes are spilling over into your classroom too!! That is just awful and stupid!
